They gave a fair price and were willing to work within my budget. They came when they said they would, did a great, professional job and finished when they said they would. What more can you ask for?

They did a fantastic job with the foundation were very friendly and worked fast and very hard, really a great bunch of guys. The masonry block part of it did not go so well they were not as diligent nor did they take pride in their work. The owner and his brothers as well as a few of the workers were fantastic. But the masonry block people left little to be desired and I would not use that crew again. I am needing to spend extra money on stucco for my house because I can't paint it with the terrible job that they did. They made the opening for my windows too small and now I am going to have the owner shave it down to fit my window.

Poor communication. Did not tell of coming to site until the morning they intended to show up. They did reschedule with no complaints. Overall very pleased with the service.

Maurice Perkins with Highland Construction Services over-delivered on everything from his original quote to his follow-up on site inspections. His design and creation of our unique concrete driveway left us referring him to as many friends as possible. Probably one of the best people in the business and very affordable too! Don't even bother calling anyone else.

Job was a 12'x60' concrete patio and 10'x20' concrete dog run. Special emphasis put on necessity of keeping concrete adjoining fence to eliminate possibility of injury to dogs feet/legs!! Concrete poured on 8/14/07. When I could walk on and see job 24 hours later, I noted large gaps between concrete and fence, and many, many rough edges. On 8/17/07 a 12 foot crack developed right down middle of patio. Maurice won't answer phone, return calls. Now a puppy also injured due to gaps in concrete.

Maurice didn't return phone calls in timely manner or do the work when promised. Once work was done, it was done well. But poor communication during the entire process.

The quality of work was very good but communication and timeliness of completion was unsatisfactory. What was promised to be completed in one week, took one month to finish. This company is family owned and operated but needs an outside scheduler and a live person to respond to telephone calls from clients requesting progress on their job.

Replaced old concrete driveway with new 3000 psi concrete with fiber. Did a great job with a nice brushed finish. Project was 1200 ft? and cost $5100. Project was done in a timely manner and no money was required up front. Had received other estimates that were considerably higher. This was a quality job and clean was well done.

Maurice Perkins, owner of Highland was a pleasure doing business with. Job done in less than a week from the estimate and only took a day & half to complete once it was started. They were punctual with arriving at the agreed upon time & date, and did not waste time or drag their feet getting to work as soon as they arrived. I will definitely use Highland construction again in the future for all of my concrete needs. The entire crew was courteous and professional. I feel I received a quality product for the price. I only wish I would have hired them a year earlier when I originally started using no-shows and fly-by-night contractors.
