Phillip, owner of Hive Services, was a delight to work with! His wife, Jennifer, is a designer and is very adept at understanding your personal style on projects. They renovated 2 bathrooms in 5 weeks and did an excellent job throughout. At times, I had questions about various approaches and Phillip would make it clear to me the reason to implement/not implement some of my ideas. It was refreshing to deal directly with the GC rather than a salesperson. Despite the fact that he usually has several simultaneous jobs throughout Wake County, he would check in on our job with the subcontractors once and often twice a day. The pricing on our jobs was excellent. You are given a budget for specific items and given suggestions of where to select them, so you have a good idea all through the process of your expenditures; specifically, how they match the proposed budget of your job. Consequently there are no surprises when the job is completed. In conclusion, we are already planning a fireplace revamp and installation of new hardwood floors with Phillip and Hive Services.

Working with Philip was a pleasure. He is very easy to work with and was always courteous and professional. I had a problem with a leaky toilet that had messed up the flooring. So instead of just repairing the floor I decided to redo the bathroom. It didn't matter that it wasn't a big project, Philip took it on with pleasure. ( I've talked with other contractors that weren't happy with doing such a small project. ) I was having a problem figuring out what to put in there to bring it out of the 90's. His wife Jennifer was a huge help with design. She came up with a project board and presented it to me. It was lovely and just what I could see in my head. The end result was a beautiful new modern bathroom. I look forward to working with both of them on other projects that need to be done. I highly recommend contacting Philip for any of your home project needs. You won't be disappointed.

I contacted 3 different contractors to quote me on a kitchen remodel (which included removing a wall), a bathroom remodel, new flooring and paint throughout the entire house. Philip was by far the most reasonably priced and knowledgeable. He also contacted me within a day of me getting in contact with him about quoting my project. He returned with a quote within a week (even though he was on vacation during that week) which was way faster than the other contractors.. I felt the most comfortable with him the first time meeting and all throughout the process. I added on a lot of projects as we went along and he was very receptive and accommodating when I changed my mind on several different things. When I texted him he responded right away. I highly recommend Philip who owns Hive Services for any projects you want done.

We first met Philip when our home insurance company gave us his contact information to help us with an emergency water repair. His team was incredibly friendly (making silly faces to our toddler as they were setting up the fans and pulling away damaged drywall) and professional. We asked a ton of questions during the work and Philip always answered with both patience and practicality. We had such a good experience with him during that project, that we decided to finally tackle finishing our 1200+ square feet basement. Philip, again, answered all of our questions and always gave us practical advice based on his experiences - you could tell he wasnâ t just trying to upsell us. He was willing to go above and beyond what we had originally specified to make sure that we were 100% satisfied with the end result. His attention to detail was great throughout the project; when we would come to him if we saw something that didnâ t look right, he already knew about it and had a plan to fix it. Our basement turned out beautifully and is exactly what we had hoped it would be. We are so glad we met Philip and his team and are already planning more projects with him!

This overall process was horrible and unprofessional. The service professional struggled with codes and paid no attention to our needs on this project. All subcontractors rarely came on time and the only good part of this project was the plumbers.
