Hofmann & Sons Restoration

The job was completed in April 2020 with one issue. A ladder fell in the front of the house and struck the light fixture which was mounted in the brick. The fixture was damaged and separated from the brick and the brick cracked. I informed Mr. Hofmann who was not present at the time and the associate in charge also notified him of the fixture but not the crack. Mr. Hoffman and I communicated by phone and text. He said he was aware and that I should purchase a new fixture which he will reimburse me for. The lead associate returned and remounted the old fixture, I informed Mr. Hofmann that I had purchased a new one. I was told that they were currently on another job and when completed the new fixture would be installed. I reached out to Mr. Hofmann several times but to no avail. Recently the light has started flickering and I purchased a new light. When I went to install the light I saw that the crack had expanded and the fixture would not open to insert the light and the fixture is again separated from the wall due to the expanded crack. I reached out to Mr. Hofmann again and sent pictures, I received promises again, and now when I call I get no answer. I am afraid that due to the crack in the brick might be causing an electrical short in the fixture and water is seeping into the brick. There would be no cracks in the brick if not for the ladder slamming into the fixture. All I wanted was for the light and brick to be repaired. Still waiting on a response.

Completely satisfied with the work. They cut two new windows in a brick wall, re-drywalled, and refinished the exterior all in a week! Will use them for future masonry/window work.

Hofmann and Sons did a fantastic job on my project. I own a large historic building that needed repointing, paint and graffiti removal and stucco repair. I cannot say enough things about Hoffman and Sons. The team did a fantastic job on opening the space between my kitchen and dinning room. We were also able to add a new water line and a new utility closet while still making the space look much larger than before. The team was extremely professional and communicated throughout the entire process. They are my new go to team for future remodeling projects. Leo Hoffman and Sons did an outstanding job replacing the ribbon on our stone from the front to the back of the house to include patching the porch and inserting new stone in a spot that did not have it. The workers were craftsmen and artists in their ability to ribbon the stone and were gentlemen when working. They also did a great job at protecting our garden from damage when grinding out old cement. Leo Hoffman and his skilled and professional team completed a masonry and concrete project in my basement and adjoining garage, including repairing the retaining wall and reconstructing the garage wall. i would highly recommend this company. The final project looks great!

Hofmann & Sons fully pointed our front and repaired the back of our home and garage. Great quality work and a very reasonable price. Working on arguably a few of the hottest days of the year, the guys were determined to get the job done, great at answering my questions, and even helped with my grocery delivery! I plan to use them again for our concrete steps and would recommend them highly!

We had Hofmann & Sons do a few different projects for our house. They patched and repainted stucco on the back of our house, repaired and pointed bricks in our breezeway, and leveled bricks on our patio to improve drainage. They did great work and Leo came out several times to walk through things and make sure everything was done correctly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them strongly to anyone who needs work done.

Just had a stone retaining wall repaired. They did an excellent job and offered a couple of options. The workers were all very nice and considerate and worked hard in very hot July weather. Leo came out several times to supervise and lend a hand. I think what they accomplished was better than we would have gotten with regular landscapers, as these guys were stone masons. The only drawback was that it too a while for the project to get started. But in this era of the pandemic, I can't fault them for that.

These guys did a beautiful and professional job restoring and fixing up our patio. It is 100 percent perfect and the experience was exceptional. Highly recommend !!!

Not only did they do a quality job on my interior exposed brick wall, but they did it faster than expected and always took the time to clean up after themselves - including sweeping and mopping my floors! Leo and his team exceeded our expectations tremendously! We are so happy with the work they did. They were respectful of our time, our home and property, and their pricing is phenomenal. They made an EXACT match to the brick on our 75 year old home. Leo was responsive, always available to answer questions, kept me updated without having to ask, and did an amazing job. Not only are we incredibly happy with their work, but it is very difficult to find an honest contractor, and Leo was honest about everything from timing, to supplies being available, and what surprises they ran into along the way. He gave me options to do it one way that would be faster, and another that would require more time, but would ultimately look and function better. We also had other contractors doing different work while Leo and his team were here and they were never in the way, always respectful, and worked well around the other work we were having done. We've told all of our neighbors (who also have brick homes) about them, and they all were so impressed with the job he did. I will never look for another bricklayer, or mason as long as these guys are around. They do not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and call these guys before you decide on your mason, brick or mortar job. These guys know it all and have been doing it across generations.
