Holmes Electric

I first tried Holmes last year to install some recessed lighting. He left a large mark on the ceiling that he failed to mention. That took several coats of paint to cover. Nevertheless, I decided to try him again this year to install some cameras. We scheduled a day and time and I took half of the day off work to be available. He didnâ t show up. I called him and he said that his truck broke down. We scheduled another day, and he came to do the work. I noticed that everyplace that he installed a camera, I had to later clean up the wall of fingerprints. He then told me that his drill had â slippedâ in the attic and he put a hole in the gameroom ceiling. He did fill the hole, but got plaster on the wall, and left it to me to touchup paint the ceiling and the wall. About a week later, I went to turn on the furnace for the first time this season. The furnace didnâ t respond to the thermostat. The heating and air repairman said that a wire had been cut at the errant drill hole in the ceiling. He spliced the wire together but advised that the electrician do a more permanent splice job. He also informed me that there was a second errant hole drilled from the attic into the closet of the gameroom. I looked and he was correct. Holmes never mentioned either the severed wire nor the second hole. I called Holmes and he set a time and date to fix the wire and the hole, and to reimburse me for the heating and air repairman ($200). He was a NO SHOW. I left messages for him to call, but no response. I had to hire someone else to do the repairs. I finally did reach him and he said that he got busy and forgot.

Installed a yard light post and after first week did not work. I contacted Holmes Electric to inform him of the defective light post and he came out and stated it was fixed. Again, it did not work and he has ignored my calls to repair or replace defective post.

Very professional and friendly. He helped me figure things out and coordinated his schedule to work with the appliance installer. Very reasonable rates. Would totally use him again.

He did quote a price ahead of time. It was based on an assumption of two days for two men. Actually though it was one guy for two hours. He still charged the same amount without adjusting at all. Then I found the work was incomplete. I hired another firm instead to finish his work. Didn' t want him back in my house.

Jeremy showed up right on time and spent some 40 minutes thoroughly evaluating my landscape lights repair needs and working up an estimate. I left a phone message with his company, Holmes Electric, 5 minutes after he left my house to the effect that I wanted the work done provided only Jeremy does it. Jeremy called right back, said he is Jeremy Holmes, owner and sole employee of Holmes Electric, and so he would be doing the work. That was 1 month ago and is the last I heard from Jeremy despite my leaving him 2 more phone messages. I m actually somewhat concerned about him.

Holmes electric was willing to work around my schedule and came out the very first day to install a ceiling fan for me they are very professional I will be using them again this fall for Christmas lights

The contractor submitted a competitive bid that was accepted, started the work and completed most of it then had to wait on replacement parts which took longer than expected. When the part came in the contractor would not return calls nor could be reached in any way and would not return to complete the job he has been paid to complete. For this reason I cannot recommend him or give him a decent rating. Appears to be undependable.

Next-day service. Very logical, organized, and efficient. Upgraded a breaker and let me know how much amperage my appliances were pulling. Replaced a ceiling fan and two bathroom switches. Took time to discuss possible upgrades to kitchen lighting. Fair price and good solid work.

Mr. Holmes did a wonderful job! He was extremely professional, personable, efficient and conscientious in his work. I will definitely call him again for future work.

If I could give Jeremy 10 stars, I would! He installed an outlet in my old gas fireplace that I converted to electric. He figured out a way to do it that was seamless and unobtrusive. AWESOME! I will have him do all my other backlog of electrical projects.
