Holmes Well Service

I have had three wells installed by Mr. Holmes and all have met my expectations. The jobs were done on time and in a professional manner. The sites were left clean and neat. During the freeze I contacted Mr. Holmes, as one of my wells froze, asking him for help. He gave me all the information needed to get the well running again and didn't charge a dime.

Dennis Holmes is not a licensed well-driller. He is not authorized to sub-contract a good drilling company. He advertises as a good driller and quotes a competitive price. What you get is poor quality work that does not meet state regulations and is not listed as a legitimate well with the state of Texas. Our well never worked correctly from the beginning. A trickle of milky water stored in a green tank (agriculture use not potable water). We tried for months to get him to service the well. He never returned phone calls and now the well stopped working. We are newly retired and have no water. After calling the Texas Ground Water Conservation District to complain, they examined our well and stated it did not meet regulations in 4 areas. They recommended that I file a complaint with The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. I did and found there was no record of a legitimate well on my property. They will be conducting their own investigation as well. My wife and I just retired and moved to the country. We are not in a position to go without water or drop a lot of money drilling another well. We have been told the well will need to be plugged and a new well-properly drilled by a licensed drilling service. Stay away from Holmes Well Service (Dennis Holmes).
