I hired JC Contracting and Handyman to fix a doorway that was leaking, Josh came and sealed the door, it rained, they came back it was still leaking, now I am not able to get the door opened, I paid $1500.00 for the work that was done, since then I have called and text no response

I needed a pdf file receipt which was promised to be emailed to me so that I could obtain payment for damage done to windows of my back door. texted me a typed receipt but did not have a pdf file copy of the receipt emailed to me. I was out $220. He continued to not answer his phone and locked me out of of both his phone and text. The repair work was adequately done, even though he brought his grade school son to observe the work. He did not clean up his mess properly either.

This Contractor is something else! They are unethical and unprofessional. The vendor initially seemed like a professional company who could be trusted. However, after making a side deal with me to cut out Home Advisor completely, he promised to do the paint job for $700 which could potentially save me up to $400. The proposal he sent stated he would need 50% of the payment so $350 dollars prior to the start date. I complied with his request and the day prior to the engagement, he emailed me, late around 11:30 PM, informing me he would not be able to do the job/work. He explained I could have my money refunded or reschedule with a 100 dollar discount. I advised and requested he RETURN THE FUNDS! It's bee 3 WEEKS and I STILL DON'T HAVE MY MONEY. He has been dodging my emails and phone calls and I'm sick of it! I had someone call him from another number and he answered right away! He promised to refund me the same day and that was a week ago! RUUUNNNN if this guy contacts you, he is out to STEAL your money..... At least call/contact the customer if there's been a change as this is RIDICULOUS! I was trying to avoid a negative review but I don't know what else to do....

Avoid this contractor. He is not professional. He took a deposit of $2500 but did not do the job and then completely disappeared. I was looking for contractors on Angi to repair my window trim. I used Angies list before without any issue, but it got acquired by Angi, so I trusted Angi but that was a mistake. Angi pushed only one contractor with my search and it was a good deal from the quote. Since I trusted Angie list so much, I did not think much and took this single recommended choice from Angi. This contractor contacted me two days before the scheduled repair day and asked for details of the repair. I sent pictures and talked with him. The scope of the work increased to whole house exterior painting and window trim repair and painting. He offered me a good deal and asked me to pay half of the quote as deposit to secure the schedule and buy material. He texted and followed by calls frequently until I paid the $2500 deposit. After that, the nightmare started. First he did not show up for work. After I finally got hold of him, he said his cell phone was stolen. Next, he did not show up to work again, and his reason is the suppler did not have the wood trim for my windows. Finally, almost when I believed this is a fraud, he showed up for the first time to do some of the window repair and paint repair work, but left in 2 hours. What he did is really crappy but he promised it will be beautiful in the end. A few days later, finally he sent a single painter to paint the whole house siding. The painter complained the pre work and at the end, did nothing as the tool did not work. After that, I got no response from my text and call for 2 days and finally he said he will bring 2 painters on a day. No show again, and after that he completely disappeared. No response to my text and call. He left some of the paint in my garage with some paint tool and a ladder in my yard. Avoid this contractor.
