I call them to check on mu dryer and turned out it was the vent on the roof that was blocked. It took the guy no more than 5 minutes to solve the problem BUT he charged $150 for the job... outrageous!!!
Response by Home Appliance Service: Thank you for your review. Mr. Saad was informed previous to doing the repair how much it would be for us to go up to the roof & unclog his dryer vent. I wonder what would Mr. Saad be charging if he had to contend with General Liability Insurance, auto insurance, health insurance and fuel for the tech to get to his house? By the way our techs have to have continuous education and every 90 days will have to go to school for interactive training for refrigeration, laundry equipment & cooking equipment; multiply that times however many manufacturers there are and the subtle changes they make on each and every model...the technician of now-a-day is not the grease dirty guy with his shirt hanging out of his pants and a cigar stub in his face that would knock on your door as in yesteryears., These folks are well educated technical individuals that could work in the electrical or technical fields very easily.

I know scheduling during holidays can be challenging but when an appointment is made and u have to call to see where they are; it’s discouraging to find out they can’t come that day. When he did come the next day, he did a good job.

This company advertised same day service but had to make an appointment for the following day. This company did not show for that appointment and never informed me that they were going to miss it. The *same day service* took 8 days to replace a clothes washer water pump. The install fee was $150 and about $150 for the pump. The tech took only a few minutes to diagnose the problem and later took 20 minutes to install the part. I would not recommend Home Appliance Service.
Response by Home Appliance Service: Mr. (Consumer name withheld per their request)was well aware that Samsung parts take longer to acquire than a regular domestic washer like a Whirlpool. Furthermore he knew not every technician is qualified or willing to work on Samsung products. I personally explained it to him when we first spoke. I believe he may be a bit disingenuous or perhaps he forgot the conversation we had, but I didn't. I'm sorry he feels the way he does and even though I hate to lose him as a customer, he may find out next time around that he may have even more difficulty repairing his Samsung equipment.

From the first phone call from Chris to the arrival with Mark, the experience was prompt, professional and friendly. After his assessment, Mark gave me several options, but was straight up in his evaluation regarding the decision to repair or replace. What can be better than to have a mechanic or a repairmen that you can trust? Well worth the fee.

Never called therefor never showed up. Very disappointed in Home Advisor's selection of the repair people in my current selections. In the past I have gotten excellent workers.

Every once in a while we screw up... and instead of trying to come up with some scummy way to get out from under the responsibility; We admit to the fact, this was such case. There was a miscommunication between the dispatcher and the technician. Unfortunately there was no counter check to determine if the process takes place, until now. We have created a process where by the tech texts back to the dispatcher when he gets the call to confirm receipt. So my apologies to Mr. Waldron and at the same time thank you for alerting us to a gap in the processing of service calls.
