Home Hero Handyman Donald Downey

If you are like me, you've worked hard for your money. When you spend it, you want to make sure it is done wisely. You also want to protect your home. So, when it is time to hire a handyman, you want to ensure you are hiring someone competent, professional and trustworthy. Don Downey, owner and operator of Home Hero Handyman, is an excellent professional on all counts. My wife and I needed wood fascia boards repainted on our home. Mr. Downey explained he could do so, and offered additional possibilities. His suggestions were not about adding more work time for the job, rather it was about exploring all options and assessing what would best suit our needs. Ultimately, we chose to replace the wood with a PVC siding; this act ensured no further maintance would be necessary. Mr. Downey also trimmed tree limbs which hung over our roof, further protecting our home. My wife and I felt very comfortable having Mr. Downey (a Veteran) and his assistant on our property and in our home. This comfort was reinforced by the transparency, efficiency and communication displayed by Home Hero Handman's services. Some home service businesses are professional, only in name. You call, leave a message, and maybe they will call back ... or maybe they won't. Or you set up an appointment, and they show up ... or they don't. HHH does not operate this way. Mr. Downey showed up when he said he would, did the work he said he would, and did it very well. No games. No nonsense. All at a fair, honest price. We were impressed with the professionalism and work quality we received, which exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to hire Don Downey/Home Hero Handyman in the future.

Don was good

Don did a great job on repairing siding. We would hire him again.

Professional and creative. Awesome to work with!

Donald is very hard working guy. Know his work and finished vent related project on time as promised. I will be happy to give him another project if I come across in future. He calls himself, ‘Handyman’ I think he should entitled himself an Engineer.

Their work is excellent and professional

Donald is very skilled. He’s a perfectionist. He takes his time to do things right. Very rare these days. His prices are absolutely reasonable given the quality of his workmanship and his excellent communication. I highly recommend Donald without any reservation.

Don was on time, professional and neat. Friendly and knowledgeable. Will use him again and refer him to others.

Don takes pride in the quality of his work, efficiency, and excellent customer service. He was punctual and and thoroughly explained what he planned to do and offered suggestions for efficiency. I appreciate how meticulous he is and know he will be dependable and honor his word. I plan to contact him again and have shared his information with a friend.

On time, knowledgeable, considerate and did a great job replacing my door threshold.

Don is very experienced and provided a detailed explanation of how he would approach the work. There were unknowns so he provided an hourly estimate of the time required minimally and maximum. Also took the time to explain structurally , from a structural engineers standpoint, what he surmised was going on. Getting into the overhead structure he was surprised at the how the structure was built incorrectly.

I wanted to give Don a try because of his reviews and I'm glad I did. From day one he was knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, relatable snd he offered solutions!! We are really happy with the work he did. Great handyman!! Definitely recommend!! ð ð ð ð

Don was very responsive from the moment I inquired for a bid through the website. He gave a prompt estimate, scheduled the work right away, completed the work that needed to be done and he had a great communication skills.

Timely and quick, and good work and riced right. I highly recommend him! Larry Huntley

He did a good job.

Don brings a calm presence, open mind and creative effective solution to any problem. He even made sure to show and explain to me what he was doing and how it worked so I could understand and know how to solve the problem in the future. We will be hiring him again when we remodel the basement. Excellent man to work with.

My floor is a cement slab, hard to work on. The flooring looks great! Also a new countertop. 3 or 4 of the tiles were loose. Don came back to fix them. Did not notice them until wiping the dust from walls and floor.

Did not finish the job. Left all kinds of dead brush up on the house claiming not to have a ladder.

Did a project for us that others passed up because it was a bit more complicated. Willing to investigate and think outside the box to figure out the best way to get it done. Weâ re very happy with the result. Checked in with us to make sure it was to our liking at each step.

Don is very respectful and cooperative. I added some things for him to do as the work progressed. He was willing to do them. He was careful and tidy. I was very pleased with the work Don did for me. Iâ ll definitely consider using him again.

Very Pleased

Don does a great job communicating with you about when he can be avai and how the project is going. And if he says he will be there, he will. He knows his stuff. We ran into some complications (not his fault) but we revised the plan and it worked out well.

Don discussed what repairs he would be doing and then done them in a timely manner. Am satisfied with the job that he and his helper done.

He and his buddy worked straight 13 hours and finished the job. Heâ s great in communicating whatâ s doing. Recommend him for others and will hire him again.

Very thorough, always kept you informed through the whole process, his work was quality as well, he checked back, showed up on time, honest, dependable, and good worker.
