Write a ReviewWe hired this company and wrote a check for 60,000 dollars. We were called our elevator had come in. They had no one available at that time to build the shaft that surrounding the elevator abd was told to find our own. We asked and asked for plans but lityle to no communication. Funally she sent plans that were written not for our project but for some elevator in 1988. Then hurticane hit captiva abd our home was damaged badly. We did get in touch eith terri snd were told they eould hold our elevator intil we could get the damage fixed. We started to get in touch with her in august and nothing but chirps. We were getting worried. Started to do some hunting abd found out they didnt even have a real license and they shut their doors. She has our rlevator and our mooney eith no way to fo anything about it. This is true robbery and 60,000 we cant afford to lose. If anyone knows of a law suit against them please get in touch with me. SuSan Petty captiva idland
Highly recommend The Home Lift Store. Amazing workmanship and customer service.. The owner Terri is top notch! My chair lift and elevator for my parents is just what we needed.
I bought a Pollock elevator from Terri about a year ago and spent almost $42k. Immediately we had an issue with the elevator stopping between floors -with one of us inside - 3 times! This obvious safety hazard was dismissed by Terri and the only empathetic comment we have received from her is that should not happen. Each time we had a failure, service was very slow to respond and about 2 months ago we had the same problem, and a tech came out identified a board problem. That made it 4 calls on the same problem. After a month he came back with the board and did not have enough time to finish and the elevator has been nonfunctional since. Today I contacted the service tech again and he indicated maybe week after next. I cannot think of a time I have been more frustrated with a company. I even went to the point of trying to contact the manufacturer and they have not responded either. Because of this issue we have only used the elevator a handful of times. I write this review to warn potential buyers about the safety issue and just maybe get this issue addressed. Note: there is no way to select elevator installation as a project.
It was great!
Work was not done and they refused to return the part of the deposit that was due back to me per the contract. They do not return calls or emails. No where in the contract does it say you are entitled to keep 100% of the deposit.
Dear Everybody reading this review. If your going to put a review lets make it true. Mark purchased custom equipment for his wife while she was in the hospital and when she came home declined to purchase. The equipment was in motion, ordered and shipped & installation set. The contract states if there is a cancellation of custom equipment after it has been shipped restocking fees do apply. We have not received any recent calls he has disputed the transaction and we have sent the documents as requested. Per bank pending the review. We do not keep all funds it is not our policy. This is a one time iNVESTMENT, MAKE CERTAIN YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED. The work is not done yet
Thank you Mr. Foley, Your elevator is in process Thank you for the review.
Terri, the sales representative, came out right away. She was very knowledgeable about the stairlift. She guided us in the right direction and gave us a fair price. JJ, the installer, installed it within a day. He did an excellent job in both the installation and teaching us everything we needed to know about the stairlift. We couldn't have been more pleased with the entire operation!
From day one we had excellent service from initial meeting to the installation of the stairlift for my mother. Highly recommend
Came at appointment time. Installer friendly and helpful and polite
Eight months ago, I purchased a Stair Lift for my husband in the amount of $15,000 with the explicit understanding that the company would provide a 25% to 30% buyback (dollar amount between $3,750 and $5000) if and when we no longer needed the lift. My husband fully regained his health, and I contacted Terri, the salesperson to arrange for its removal and the buyback amount. She specifically stated the stairlift had to be bid out and promised to call back in a couple of days with an exact date of removal and the exact amount of the buyback. I never heard from her again. After a month-long series of unanswered and unreturned calls to the company, I finally received an email offering $350. I doubt I am the first person to be taken advantage of, but I am shocked beyond words. Next stop, Florida Attorney General Office and Department of Elder Affairs.
Hi Elizabeth. You purchased a custom-made curved stairlift made to your staircase. We cannot reuse or resale the railing system the only part that can be utilized is the chair or seat that has a cost of 900 at 25% is 225.00. But we did return your phone calls and offered you 350 for your seat and as a courtesy we will remove your railing and dispose of it as well. We are truly sorry for the miscommunication. Congrats on the Great News for your husband.
