Exterior Trim - Repair
Richard was very friendly. I had him work on various projects. He worked on the wood floor repairs the first day, and he did a good job with that except he didn't by the same size quarter round so I'll have to replace. The second day he replaced the wood around a window with new materials. One side was cauked, the other side was not. The biggest gripe I have, though, is he took the screens to resize them because the screens no longer fit. I went ahead and paid him the remainder due, and I have not heard from him since. He will not return my calls and now his phone goes to voicemail. I will have to buy new screens for my window. Not pleased.

Richard did a wonderful job.We had numerous projects we needed done and he also built us a beautiful new deck.He is very knowledgeable about home repairs.He is always courteous and professional.We are so happy to have found someone who can do so many different home projects well !!! We plan to continue to call him for future projects.

Deck, Fence, Patio or Porch - Clean and Seal
I hired Richard Knippers in late July. The project was supposed to be 1 to 2 weeks. He said he was having trouble getting people to the job site. After 6 weeks 40 to 45% was complete and I had already paid 67%. I have been unable to reach him by phone. The pressure washing was well done, that is the only positive. DO NOT HIRE is my advice!

"after waiting severaldays for owner to "pick" a stain I was forced to put emplyees on ma different project.As stated in the Shannon Star reply I was forced into a situation where I had to leave the Winston Salem area.I hope to contact ian in the near future and arrange to return any money amounts he feels were overpaid."

Sliding Door - Install
Two existing windows were removed and a sliding glass door was installed as quoted by Richard. The job wet very smoothly and quickly thanks to Richards expertise in construction and finish carpentry. I would recommend Home Maintenance as a reliable and competent contractor.

Doors Repair
.The serviceman was pleasant and patient. He showed me how to clean my storm window and did not charge me for that part of the service. He repaired my storm door although it had been put in by someone else. His rates are reasonable and I learned from him. I will use him again soon. He gives a good name to handyman.
