Sump Pump Repair or Replace
Home Maintenance Solutions were amazing! My sump pump went out over last winter (2018). I am a foster parent. When I needed someone to come out and install a brand new sump pump I had bought at a home improvement store, Home Maintenance Solution came out within 2 days of calling them! The technician was friendly, easy to understand, and courteous. When it was discovered I had bought the wrong sump pump, he went out, got the correct one, and swapped it for the one I had bought. Then he installed a separate outlet so the sump pump could run off it. Truly a great company, and I would definitely call and use them again! Thanks

Pete was very affable, professional and very responsive to our request. Called me back right away after I left a message. He was kind enough to make room in his schedule to come the next day to hang a picture and a mirror in our guest room. (as we had guests arriving the next day). He did a great job hanging the mirror and the picture. BUT...he charged us 125.00 DOLLARS to hang them. We just about fell over when he told us what he was charging for that. It took him maybe 15 minutes at most. Absolutely outrageous. Gouged. Lesson learned. I did not ask him the quote before he arrived. Saw all the A ratings and assumed he would be market and affordable. That was a painful lesson to learn. Never assume. So... if you want to use him--GET A QUOTE. 125 DOLLARS! I should have refused to pay it, but since I had failed to get a quote beforehand... that was, at the end of the day, on me.

"Customer service and satisfaction is the #1 priority for HMS. After seeing this poor review, I was concerned and immediately attempted to contact the customer to discuss. Unfortunately, my efforts to reach her have gone unanswered. I find it very unfortunate that when someone is unhappy with a service, they take to reviews and social media to post their frustration - rather than discussing the issue in person. This issue could have been easily explained and potentially rectified in person or over the phone. However, I had no idea that our pricing was an issue for this customer. Not only did this customer seem extremely pleased upon completion, when I told them the cost was $125.00, but the customer also gave me no indication whatsoever that they thought it was unreasonable. Further, the customer did not contact me prior to posting this review to voice their concerns with the pricing. I would have explained to the customer that the $125.00 takes into account travel time, time to get materials and the $22.00 charged by Home Advisor for this lead (contractors on this site are charged anywhere from $18.00 to $50.00/per lead, depending on the project). If you want quick, reliable and dependable service from a clean-cut, well-organized company, the going rate &/or minimum charge is approximately $125.00 (regardless if the actual service takes 15 minutes or 1 hour). I think that most people understand this & would agree that a 1/2 star rating is unfair and excessive in this circumstance."

In late spring we had him repair a siding board that was difficult to access, near the roofline. He also re-anchored our patio door. He was very professional and prompt, and did the work speedily and flawlessly. And his price was very reasonable. Will definitely use his services again. He was a breath of fresh air compared to other repair services we have used in the past.

Responsive but his quality of workmanship on doing drywall touchup and painting was of poor quality, little attention to even patching, poor clean up (left drip marks and paint swipes on my wood floors) and needed to call him back several times, finally just gave up, and spent 4 hours, two people, redoing it.

"HMS strives to satisfy every customer. Unfortunately, this customer was unreasonable with their expectations and very difficult to work with. Other contractors working in the home walked out in frustration. Their payment method defaulted and they made no resolution towards fixing it. HMS will never work for them again under any circumstances."
