We had our assessment done Aug 17th, 2018 For various reasons, including their not reviewing elec bills correctly, requiring additional prep work which we did, and requiring additional inspections for which they claim their inspector never sent in his report.... our project was "put on hold" to the point of not getting scheduled until today, when I refused to get off the phone until it was scheduled. They scheduled it for TWO MONTHS from now.... end of May 2019. Warning.... when they tell you "we will send this to the scheduling dept. and call you back" it just might take 2-6 months. I have been calling them every two weeks for 3 months and patiently accepted their "we will call you back" promises over and over. This is not a customer-friendly company. Even more reason for me to fear the work will be done properly. If their installers are anything like their office staff, beware.

HomeWorks Energy provided my standard home energy assessment, and a scheduled heating/cooling assessment.Based on their work, I do not think it was worth my time. For the home energy assessment, their only work was to change one lightbulb in our kitchen and leave two (useless) "smart" power strips that we won't use, since we don't have a TV or stereo.They did recommend some minor insulation, which we are planning to do ourselves, because even with the 70% discount from my home energy company it is $1000 less expensive than their cost. Also, as a warning, their recommendations only bring up insulation levels to current building code. Energy saving standard-of-practice generally recommend much more attic and basement insulation than HomeWorks can recommend or offer discounts on.Finally, and this is what prompted me to write this review, I scheduled an additional heating and cooling assessment, as my initial home energy inspector wasn't knowledgeable in those areas and didn't have any suggestions to offer. Instead of the inspector showing up, though, I got a phone call 10 minutes before our scheduled time, claiming that they didn't recommend their team coming out to the property because 1). the previous inspector saw a few pieces of fiberglass (personally installed and then removed by me when it melted) adhered to a radiator pipe, and they needed an asbestos abatement company to sign off on it before they could do any work, and 2). because I wasn't yet eligible for a particular rebate, they didn't think it was worth their time. Given that I wanted to talk about future installation options to budget and plan for, I found this deeply unprofessional, not to mention ridiculously red-tape laden. I would NOT recommend HomeWorks Energy for any work or assessments in the future.

I had some issues with some of their work but Chris Nichols and his team did an outstanding job of coming back to improve the quality of the result.

Their representative, SergeyA, was exceptionally professional. By that, I mean he is knowledgeable about home energy issues, thorough in his assessment, very helpful with his recommendations, and courteous. With an degree in mechanical engineering and a graduate degree in environmental studies, he also brings a passion to his work to help improve energy use and conservation in a manner realistic for a home owner. He also was knowledgeable about current technology and industry trends and government and commercial programs. What more can a customer ask of a home energy audit?

I would like to thank Home Works Energy for an excellent job. We had a home energy assessment and learned our old boiler failed a Carbon Monoxide test. We then decided now was the time to replace our Boiler and Water Heater. In stepped Kevin Hanson HVAC Specialist, who guided us through the whole process. He gave us options on a new boiler and we very happy with what we chose. He took care of making sure our install went smoothly as well as having all the paper work done for our rebates from Mass Save. He answered all our questions and was very prompt getting back to us. Kevin was also very kind to our 7 year old son. . . answering all of his questions as well. We are very happy with our experience with Home Works Energy and especially Kevin Hanson.

Scott responded same day to my request for an estimate, and offered tips on how to trim the cost if I didn't want to do the whole list of work. All the work was completed in about 2 days, including nearly a full ton of blown-in insulation in my 90-year-old single-family house. He took extra care to ensure our cold play room is now warmer, and we've noticed a difference already throughout the house! His team did break some plaster on the walls/ceiling and they accidentally broke a window shutter. Scott kindly took the time to patch up the holes and even put up replacement shutters. I gladly recommend Scott for his work and integrity.

A very good experience all-round! They even cleaned up (which, from experience, contractors often seem unable to do). Gave me good advice about ventilation, blew the walls full. Were able to work around access/parking problems cheerfully and successfully.

Prompt response, professional and reasonable service fee. Scott went to evaluated the job and solved our problem right away. He is highly reliable. We will continue working with him on our future need.

Scott did a thorough job insulating our house in a fast and efficient manner from planning to execution. I would certainly hire him for my next insulation job when more money is available.

Scott and his crew were great! They completed the work in less time than the original estimate and our kitchen and TV room are much warmer! We had space heaters in each room and after Scott completed the work, we no longer have to turn them on! We were very pleased with his work.

Scott was more a project coordinator than the contractor who did the work. Energy Pros, with whom Scott works, did the work. They were absolutely superb. On-time, on budget, extremely competent, and very pleasant to work with. Carolyn Johnston in front office was exceptionally organized and filed the paperwork necessary to get me a rebate from NStar Gas. Kevin and his crew worked very hard, communicated very effectively. A first-class experience all the way. And the tenants have happily informed me that their heating bills have already come down a lot.

Scott and his associates figured out a way to get the insulation into the very shallow space between my ceiling and the building roof without having to drill holes. They worked quickly and efficiently and did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves.

Energy Pros did an outstanding job for us and we would definitely recommend them to anyone. Scott is the coordinator and he was fine as well.

They do excellent work. They are very helpful and they keep the jobsite clean. I really enjoyed working with them partly because they really know what they're talking about, but mainly because they are just nice.
