Joe came quickly to check out my electric dryer on my one-piece stack unit. After doing several tests, he determined that the dryer timer was bad. The dryer was about 20 yrs old but I decided to repair it. He ordered the part but it took about 10 days to arrive. He came back to install the part. Unfortunately after installing the part, he said there was another problem, a short. He said he could d order another part and install at no charge if I agreed. I decided not to fix the dryer since it was very old. Joe removed the part and gave me a partial refund even though he said the parts supply house would not allow a return. I really appreciated the great service from Joe!

Fixed dryer which was nice and customer service was great. However, not great communication before the job and they (accidentally) pulled some of my floor up when they were working on my dryer.

They were professional, on time, let me know when they arrive, and give me a heads up. He gives me the estimate so I know the price and they fix it the same day.

Joe called and scheduled me for same day service. Had all the parts needed to repair my dryer, cleaned it completely, and replaced the heating element, as well as a broken wheel and band. Have a brand new dryer again. Will contact them again for my appliance services again.

Went great and what was wrong was exactly what my Cuz and I thought....because he had to repair another fridge here and we UTubed it and came to the same conclusion. They had to run parts and that was part of the job...good people and great service.

As per the customer who posted a review on August 16th 2020 I have to agree that they should not be hired. If you do so you are taking a serious risk that is not worth the time or money. Our machine has the same problem it had before they came out to it but we are $300 worse off for it. Now we have to decide if it is economical to get another engineer or if it would just be better to buy a new appliance. This should not happen and I hope that you take the warning that is being given here and not go down the road of using a company that can cause such a situation. I did see the review that was given an F but thought it might be a one-off but the same happened to me! Don't let it happen to you! I initially told HomeTech that I thought it could be the valve and I asked if they wanted to come out to check. They that usually that is what causes this type of problem and they would order the part. I thought it was fine to do that so that if it was that they would have the part on hand when they did come out to save time. After a few days wondering about the part I was informed it was delayed due to the pandemic. As I had not been given a price I needed to know what that would be so that there weren't any unpleasant surprises. I was told $300. It seemed a lot but I agreed. A week later when they came out they did not make a diagnosis first as expected they would do. They simply changed the valve within 15 minutes and left. We thought the machine was fine. He said the price was $379. We accepted it as were just happy that the machine had been seen to. Then we tried a wash and the hot water was not working and now there was a new problem. The machine was turning on and off by itself! I called them and told them about the problem and that we were unhappy the charge was different from what we agreed. He agreed to refund the $79. He came back the next day and appeared to fix all the issues. But attempted to defend what had happened by saying "i did not diagnose the problem, I only fitted the valve!" Implying that I was at fault when he should have diagnosed and looked that entire machine first instead of rushing to make quick money by fitting the part and leaving. The machine appeared to work fine for 24 hours then the problem was back again that everything began with. He then said it might be the board! He did not diagnose the machine and then was giving different explanations as to what the problem could be. Naturally this has been an unpleasant experience. He may have meant well but mishandled the entire repair. We were naturally unhappy with what had happened and I let him know that I would be informing Angie's List of our experience. In response he implied something bad might happen if I posted a negative review. Then he hung up. Thankfully I don't scare and am more interested in people knowing what might happen to them if they are not circumspect with this company. Nothing personal against him but thoroughly dissatisfied with the service overall. Beware and be warned.

Excellent...got the job done quickly. He got a call on his cell phone from a customer who wanted a dishwasher repaired. He told her he could do the job but suggested that she just buy a new dishwasher because the repair would cost more than the old one was worth!
