We needed an honest assessment of our roof and possible damage following high winds and intensive rains resulted in a leak in our house. Unfortunately, our insurance would not cover the claim, but we needed the work done anyway. Dennis made a clear and comprehensive assessment of our roof, pointed out the problems and solutions needed and found a very concerning problem with our garden room roof as well. He communicated with us at every step of the process including the unfortunate interference with three weeks of rain. At the first opportunity to do repairs, Dennis and his crew arrived to tackle the two sections of the roof. They were done in about 4 hours from set up to total cleanup. After witnessing many roofing jobs among family and friends over the last 30-40 years, I can say without reservation that Honest Roof does the best job for the money. Once they had finished and left, I could not tell they had even been there except that my front porch and back deck had been swept and cleared of all debris and leaves. They took extra care to sweep the lawn and sidewalks with their magnet as well. Dennis went the extra mile to assure the aesthetic of our roof as well. I had three estimates done and Honest Roof was the lowest quote using the same Owens Corning shingles and materials as other companies. They showed up on time, finished on time (Whole roof in about 6 hours), and kept to their quote, despite some unexpected. extra work they had to do with no additional or last minute fees. They took photos before during and after the job and kept me informed the whole way thru. I was very pleased with their work and work ethic.

Fast and clean

After hail destroyed our roof, every roofer providing us a quote first requested a copy of our insurance claim. The insurance company had been very generous to cover the complete 70-square roof, gutter replacement, plus other property damages. We only gave the full claim to one roofer - who, ironically, bid the exact price, despite a verbal estimate $10,000 cheaper before seeing the claim. After that, we gave the others the insurance line items with measurements (roof only) - less prices. Their quotes were drastically different from each other and rarely included details of whether the materials and replacements (flashing, drip edge, valley metal, etc.) would meet or exceed those the insurance quoted for that price. One company sent a car salesman (by his own admission) that could not answer some basic questions on roofing, did a lot of friendly talking, and after an hour asked for our insurance claim. There was a $14,000 difference between the highest and lowest quotes with no clear reason as why. We simply wanted to know what a good roof with good workmanship would cost... especially because we might one day have to replace it without the help of insurance. Without question, the absolute best contracting company I have ever worked with!!! I canâ t say enough great things about Dennis, his crew, and the company he runs! Exceptional customer service and follow-through on all ends. I had another big, local company that I have used on 2 other roof jobs come out and give me a quote on my new house. He does his own job to complete the quote an not like others that are looking to get the insurance paper work to compete their quote. After much research and meeting with various roofing contractor salesmen, I luckily stumbled upon Honestroof.com on homeadvisor.com. I was very impressed with the proposal I received from Dennis and he had everything covered. Not only was his pricing the most competitive out of the 4 or 5 others I received, but I could immediately tell I was dealing with a professional right away. Not only was I comparing pricing, but I took reviews into consideration and Honestroof.com had excellent reviews everywhere I looked. One of the other contractors I looked at had a very high price and on top of that, they installed new roofs on a new subdivision and several of the homes had leaks. No one else I spoke with even came close to that. He told me upfront he doesn't use any cheap materials either and even sent me a list of things to expect during the roof installation. Received a VERY fair and detailed quote the same day it was requested. Work was scheduled quickly and was finished in one day (under 7 hours). Mr. Harrison communicated well and kept us apprised as the work was being done. I found the absolute best roofing company in DFW! I can say this after spending over two months getting quotes from several roofers and salesmen. VERY IMPORTANT INFO. PLEASE READ THROUGH. These guys were awesome. I have had an insulation service at another home in the past by an insulation company and it was a nightmare experience. I went with the cheapest bid because I figured it wasn't rocket science to blow in insulation. BIG MISTAKE! After being 3 hours late, they finally got started and then stepped through my ceiling creating a huge hole and then tried to not pay to repair it. After all that, I noticed absolutely no difference in cooling or energy costs after spending over $1500 for blow in insulation. Come to find out the cheap Home Depot insulation was crap. After purchasing another home this year we chose to hire All Year, Inc. to do the insulation work because they installed my roof a few months ago and we really liked their work and honesty. Their insulation pricing was right in the middle. Not dirt cheap but not the most expensive either. More than anything their roofing and ventilation knowledge goes hand in hand with insulation. It just makes total since that they would be very knowledgeable about properly insulating my attic space. I had no idea so much went into properly insulating an attic. They worked very hard, sealed every pipe in my attic with foam, sealed all openings where you could see day light and blew in 14" of very good Pure White, formaldehyde free insulation. I noticed an IMMEDIATE difference in my energy cost and the comfort of my new home and this time actually got something back for what I spent. I highly recommend these guys for not only great roofing and ventilation work but excellent insulation work as well. They asked me to leave a review sharing my experience with you.
