Honey Do Today, LLC

I hired Honey Do Today to assist with some items related to a kitchen remodel. The first part was for electrical rough-in. The electrician did fine work however, he was never paid by HDT and was forced to place a lien on my residence. When I called John Partridge, owner of HDT, he told me he had some issues but his lawyer would have everything resolved and payment would made and the lien would be released. Well 90 days later there is still no resolution and I have been forced to take legal action. John through HDT also owes me a refund on a deposit I requested after the payment issue. I have not received the refund to date. Legal action to follow on that. I would never hire HDT for anything. They are not to be trusted and are not an honest or ethical business.

Do not hire this company, uses people he does not even know. Horrible work ethics.

The process has been nerve wracking trying to get the project done. The start of the interaction was great and once he was paid the promptness was lacking. Continually trying to follow up with him to find out when he'll finish. Communication stopped.

I believe that this company overextended/underbid the scope of work to get my business. Since I work at home 95% of the time it is the only reason that my rating is not lower, since I tried to make sure that workers (whenever they showed up without letting me know or telling me in advance of schedule changes) were never communicated to me in advance.

My sump pump broke and flooded the basement. After I cleaned up the water mold grew. I signed a contract on 9/3/18 for: remove rotten drywall; treat with bleach and kilz paint, including studs/joists; install new drywall, install quarter round molding, baseboard; paint, caulk, and seal. Install new doors, install new shower. Total labor $4,500.00. I paid a deposit of $2,250.00. John Partridge reserved supplies at Home Depot for a total of $631.73. I paid for this and he was to pick up and deliver to my home for the job. Today workers came to my home on 9/18/18 and replaced one interior door, some of the moldy drywall, some of the baseboard and some of the shoe molding. The workers said they would not be returning. I met with John at my home and he discussed other possibilities for remodeling my basement. I told him I wanted to finish the existing contract. On 9/19/18 after inspecting the job, moldy baseboards, moldy shoe molding, moldy interior doors, moldy drywall still remained. I sent John pictures of the areas that have not been completed. I told him I wanted to finish this job before discussing additional work. Honey Do Today left a large saw, a shop vac, a nail gun, a compressor, an ax and a sledge hammer at my house. I was under the impression that they would be returning. They also left an incorrect interior door, a box of dry wall screws, a bag of powder dry wall and a sprayer (all on my Home Depot Supply List). After multiple phone calls and emails, the job is not complete. John responded at times giving me a return time of tomorrow. Once he said he was coming at 12 with an electrician to get an estimate of removing the outlet where the shower was to be installed. He said he would video the conversation. No one came to my home and there was no video. On 10/5/18 I emailed John Partridge at Honey Do Today. I gave him notice to complete the job by October 12, 2018 or I wanted my money back. He did not respond to my email. I received a call 10/11/18 at 830 pm from a man claiming to be one of his workers who wanted to come back on 10/12/18 to finish the job. However, this worker had no idea what the contract stated and what needed to be done. I want my money back for breach of contract and stolen supplies. I am out $2,881.71. I need this money to complete the job. Do not hire this company. I would give them a 0 as a rating but 0.5 is the minimal allowed.

I had a pair of insect screens installed at a window. They showed up for the job as was scheduled and gave me prompt and professional service. Highly recommend them.

Pleasant but consistently late for scheduled work and at least once didn't have a basic tool for completing the work.

BE CAREFUL if hiring this company. They took prepayment for work of $225 a month ago. I waited at home the full day for them to arrive - they didn’t. Now impossible to get my money back. Not sure how companies like this are able to operate? Terrible.

Worst lack of service ever! I contacted the company to have lawn mowing performed for a property, paid the deposit in advance and was told they would take pictures before and after. Well, after several calls and follow-ups, they never performed the work and failed to return any calls, texts or emails. I initially had direct contact with John Partridge, however he stopped responding and never followed-up with my inquiries. I would definitely not recommend them to any of my friends, business colleagues or clients.

Great service , very nice guy and prompt

This work was NOT to replace weatherstripping but to replace a torn screen in an enclosed porch; your site did not mention that kind of work. The repair man, Shane, was very polite, hard working and knowlegable and did a perfect job, including having to struggle with some unique issues that he solved.

I was concerned about some of the previous reviews and spoke to John about them. I was comfortable with his explanations but we did negotiate the down payment schedule. Work was done on time and was done well. I feel his fee was fair and as he saw other needs, pointed them out and gave an estimate. He was very willing to work with us.

Promised to repair a Roman Shade in a day or two. I had an appointment for re-installation in which John never showed up. Tried to contact him via e-mail and phone with no response. Extremely poor customer service.

I had tried two other companies (unsuccessfully) before I finally found Honey Do Today. They contacted me right away and asked for a couple of photos of the door to make sure they had an accurate scope of the project. They sent me emails with options for the product I wanted to use and made suggestions for upgrades, which I did not feel pressured at all to accept. They coordinated directly with my tenant for scheduling, were punctual and the price was fair. Since I live out of state, I appreciated that they sent me photos after the project was completed so that I could make sure it was done to my satisfaction. I was very please with the end result and would definitely hire them again.
