Even when his portion of the project was complete, Lon would check in with us to see how things were coming along and was a source of knowledge. After an odd start due to staffing issues/sick employees project got finished by the owner of the company. Ended up moving box from original location, but the upgrade left us with plenty of expansion space.

Hood River Electric gave me a bid to upgrade the meter base and electrical panel. I was getting close to closing on my house and was on a time crunch. Lon worked with me and was able to get everything finished before we closed. The price came in under what the other electrician had bid. The price was fair and the work was done right. I would definitley hire again.

I dealt directly with lon. He did what he said he would and the quality of work is top notch. When the inspector came to review his work i asked him what he thought. Lon is great! He has been in business around this area for many years and knows everyone. I had a complex panel upgrade situation that other electricians were afraid to take on! But Lon got the job done, took care of all the permits, found all the necessary parts even with supply chain issues. Very knowledgeable and does great work for a fair price.

I wanted to have a new 200amp panel installed to replace my existing 100amp panel. After calling several different electricians and getting the run around, I finally found Lon at Hood River Electrical. Lon, the owner, came out within a week to make a site visit. Together we reviewed my options and then gave a quote that I felt was fair. Lon put me at ease and I felt comfortable that the work would be done quickly and by the book. When PacificPower turned off the power and the meter box was removed, Lon discovered that it would need to be replaced. Knowing the tight timeline and my expectations, Lon went out of his way to get a new box and install it so that the power was on when I got home. Communication with contractors can always be difficult but Lon gave me consistent updates that gave me piece of mind while the work was being done. I highly recommend Hood River Electrical to anybody in the Portland area looking for an electrician. I plan on using Hood River Electrical in the future!

Dude was frustrating. He talked my ear off about current events, himself, his ex-wife, etc more than actually working. He was seemingly unprepared for the job, as he had to make 1-2 trips to Home Depot every day for 5-6 days. All for an electrical panel replacement/relocation. Every time he struggled with something he got pissed off, and rather than communicating with me about what is and what is not covered in the scope of the work, sorta threw a grown man temper tantrum about having to cut a couple of studs. There were several times where I grabbed the friggin tool and did the thing myself, just to get him back on track. To top it off, after screwin around for a week, he got a call for another job, and all of a sudden he needed to get my job done. Thank God. He also asked for the 2nd half of the payment before the job was complete, which I thought was really unprofessional. I am sorry, but I was not impressed at all.
