We had a new composite deck installed by them in late August 2019. Excellent job. Guys were great. Was beyond our expectations! Last month, September 2020 we noticed a few deck boards that were rising. Not sure if they were not screwed down properly. Sent 2 emails and 2 texts, with pictures over a 3 week period for their input. No response. I even offered to pay. Would have hoped that they would have stood by their workmanship. Especially that it was only 1 year. Had to find another company to correct and pay for.

Top notch work! A+++ in my book. Tom was great to work with and his team terrific. They did a fabulous job building my new back stairs. (Makes me wonder why I waited so long?) It's beautiful and I am extremely pleased. So much so, I have already hired Tom to come back in the spring to do the decks. His team is efficient, professional, and do quality work. The work was better than expected and far exceeded my expectations.

Tom is the most honest and trustworthy contractor we've ever used. His team does exceptional work. Tom was able to solve a problem we did not anticipate. The day we were to have all supplies delivered to begin the project, we were notified by the lumber company that our deck material was now backordered 3-4 weeks. This company is fantastic. Tom is the nicest guy John,Gary and Zach are fantastic. Their work is above and beyond what you expect. We have an absolutely beautiful deck that only took 6 days. It was extremely hot and humid and they still worked all day. We would highly recommend them. And we will be hiring them again for another project

Tom is a man of his words. Unlike other contractors, he told us in the beginning that when he gets on a job, he stays on it until it's done. He did not disappear for a week or two and return for short periods of time here and there. Also, he always returned texts and phone calls in a timely manner and most of the time, he picked up the phone always making himself available. His crew and Craftsmanship is/was beyond reproach. They did awesome work and he is the only contractor I would recommend for any job. If you do not use him, you are missing out. My deck is a huge 20 x 30 feet. And it's awesome. Amazing truly doesn t do Tom s company justice. He came to my rescue after I had started a DIY project that became too much to handle on my deck. I was in a bind when serious damage was done to my deck post the night before I was closing to sell my home. The owner of this company could not have been kinder or more understanding! The work was done immediately the next day and the job was pure perfection!!! I can't say enough great things. Hire these guys if you need anything done for your deck. You can not go wrong! I owe them for saving the day!

Tom and his great team are the best contractor I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Their use of current communications tools are superb. The regular updates, including pictures, made me feel like I was there watching the project step by step. Their workmanship is outstanding and they use only top shelf products. They arrived on time each day and completed the project in a very timely manner. We just love our new deck! We highly recommend Hook and Ladder and look forward to having them back for some more projects.

Our deck was not finished for 11 days after it being started. It was hot and muggy weather but they didn't start until later in the morning, after 8:30 and were gone every day by 2:30. We had concerns with some of the quality of the work, which was taken care of for the most part. One issue could not be fixed, boards were not level. But, after reworking the problems, the owner pulled all of his equipment out and informed me he was going to get someone else to put the steps on as he said he "could obviously not please me". Tom's team did work with the new contractor on the steps. The quote we got from Tom was double what the other quotes were but based on reviews of his work and his explaining the process to me, we went with him. My deck looks beautiful, and I am sure it is structurally sound since they did make some improvements that were not included in the original quote, unfortunately having the issues that we had I cannot truly enjoy my new deck as I would have.

We wanted a small deck built in the back of our house within a month for an upcoming family reunion we were having in the backyard. We wanted some ideas and Tom and his team provided some great options and showed us pictures of various decks he had built. Tom and his team were great and fun to work with and the deck was finished well before the date we needed. The craftsmanship was terrific and we are very pleased with it and have received a lot of compliments on the deck. We would definitely hire Tom and his crew again!

Tom did an excellent job of communicating throughout the project, including sending me daily texts and pictures of the progress made. We made a late adjustment to our plan and Tom was able to adapt with ease and even added an unexpected additional step to our deck at no charge. The workmanship was top notch and the team kept our yard very clean throughout. I would certainly recommend Hook & Ladder to anyone looking to have this type of work done.

Hook & Ladder Contracting Services, LLC was hands down the best contracting service we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Tom and his crew COMPLETELY restored our faith in contractors. I HIGHLY recommend! Prior to hiring Hook & Ladder Contracting Services, LLC, we had a horrible contractor that scammed us on a outdoor deck job and as my husband and I are both handicapped with 2 young children, safety was also an issue as the previous contractor left a dangerous half done deck and outdoor staircase. Hook & Ladder Contracting Services, LLC not only finished the project, he brought it FAR ABOVE code. As Tom said, “code is the minimum, building something to code is not anything to be proud of, I am going to build this far above code” and I am happy to say he did. Thank you, Tom.
