Hopson Handyman and Maid Service

Hey Jason/Tim, I haven't been able to get in touch with you via your cell phones for several weeks now... Can one of you reach out to me and let me know when or if you will be back to my house to finish the job you started? I will finish my review when the job is done.

This is the worst company company Ive ever used, they blocked my number when I called back for services. They do not respond to emails left on their website. Do not use this company.

Father and son were very knowledgeable - courteous and completed the job in a timely manner. Did excellent work.

Do not know enough about the company but yard work I was not satisfied with.

I relied on their experience to do a good job but did not get exactly what we wanted, worked by the hour so they wanted to stay all day. When I told them we would have to have them finish all the project another day, they left without cleaning up their mess even though they claimed to always clean up when they are done. The material charges were a flat $500. With no itemizing, I know the materials could not have been $500 because I checked with the store on the pricing. I asked for an itemized material list three days later and was texted do not ever call his phone again because he admitted to charging me for a whole spool of wire (100 ft) but only using about 30 ft. His excuse was he did not know his helper put it on HIS truck, Be careful who you hire.

He came over gave us a estimate.... decided on the date the project would start and be completed... they finished early and cleaned up all the scrap... we were happy witj the project when complete

They were here the next day after calling Very fast and professional. Good service for the budget. Worked well into the night to finish the job according to the contract. I would use the company again. I would recommend to people who needed projects done.

This company came out the very same day I contacted them. Great services!! They painted installed light fixtures, light switch and they built an amazing bar for my basement!! I was very pleased

After Hurricane Sally when Our home on the Gulf Coast was seriously damaged, power lines were still down, a curfew was in effect and it was still raining, Hopson Handyman Services were there the next night as First Responders. They drove through the night and through the storm remains 5 hours to reach us. Live Oak Trees had fallen covering our house and yard and damaging our roof. The trees had been uprooted with a 10 foot diameter of trunk and dirt and impossible to cut with a chainsaw and move due to the bulk and weight. Hopson Handyman Services of Carbonhill, AL performed the work with a bulldozer and chainsaws for half the price of the local tree companies of whom most were out to price gouge and saying they would take weeks to get to and get done. Hopson started the work the next day and completed it in two days. They even took video from the roof perspective of the damage that was instrumental to a successful insurance claim. In addition, they rebuilt the roof and fence and leveled the yard so new grass sod could be laid. Hopson Handyman Services of Carbonhill, AL was there when we needed them and had the skills and licenses to perform all the work. OUTSTANDING! We will use again!

When you bring a company from Birmingham, AL down to Mobile, AL for a job, the job is either very complex requiring special expertise and/ or the local help is either not dependable or lacks the required expertise. In my case, it was all. The local help was very unreliable, not showing for appointments or unable to commit and those who were dependable, lacked construction expertise. My home in Mobile which had been rented out for 20 years had fallen into a deep decline due to poor property management. Now, it needed major renovations in framing and trim, re-building and construction, electrical and pluming and painting. Also, needed my fence rebuilt and power washed. Hopson Handyman Services out of Birmingham was The One Stop Company to get the job done! Nothing was subbed out; they did it all. As the owner, Jason Hopson, told me over the phone and in person, â I can build a house from the ground up and will have all the tools to do it right on my truckâ . That statement was 100% true. He and his wife came in and in two days renovated my entire home. They worked non-stop in 90 degree plus heat accomplishing every project from re-framing and trimming two doors, rebuilding a fence and power washing it, patching holes in walls, replacing trim in the bathrooms, repairing the ceiling and repainting it, repairing my kitchen light, replacing a toilet, repairing a vinyl floor in a utility room, repainting a kitchen appliance, perfectly matching 12 yr old paint and re-painting the house interior; repainting both the front and rear door frames, replacing fixtures and repairing my front storm door. Hopson and team did exactly what they said they would do and when. On a scale of 1-10 with â 10â being the highest, Hopson and Team performed the work to the highest quality level and dependability level of a â 12â . The outcome far exceeded my wildest dreams and he completed the work in advance of what he estimated. I will definitely use his firm again! No question about it. Hopsonâ s fee for the work is extremely reasonable and a heck of a value for the quality level you are getting! I have another property in S FL 842 miles away and guess who I will be using without question! Let me sum it up: Hopson can totally build a house from the ground up and therefore do your project for FAR LESS because he does not sub the work out but he and his team do it themselves. I hired Jason Hopson to do a project that included putting siding on my house, putting up gutters, replacing windows, electrical, plumbing and painting. They saw that each small detail of the different jobs was done. They did above and beyond what others would have done. I will hire them for my next project.

Great customer service. Reasonable prices. While they were on site, they worked. No long lunches. No cell phone breaks. Just hustling the entire time. Very focused on quality of work. Very attentive to details. Thoroughly cleaned up after the job was completed. Looks for ways and advised of ways to save us money.
