Charlie was very fast to replace my existing deck on 10/30/2019. Since then I have had problems with one of the top railing coming up, two side slats coming out, and one-floor board coming up. I texted for the first time on 6/17 with pictures of everything. He responded and said he would come out the same weekend. He never showed. texted again on 6/28 after taking a small trip No response, Texted again on 6/30/2020. He responded with I am trying to get to it as soon as I can. Resent pictures on 7/4/2020. He responds with wood shrinks and there is nothing he can do about it so I will replace the one but there ain't nothing else he can do. 7/6/2020 I responded with boards should not be coming loose like they are. All I am asking is to replace the boards that are coming up. His response was I am going to fix it but it is scheduled to rain tomorrow so I will have my carpenter come out on Wednesday 7/8 and take care of it. It is not 7/10. No carpenter and no communications from Charlie. I texted again this morning with no response. I feel he was fast to build my deck and I paid in full when it was completed. BUT HE HAS NEVER TOOK INITIATIVE TO REPAIR MY DECK OR KEEP ME INFORMED OF THE STATUS UNLESS I ASK HIM ABOUT IT. This are some of the WORST customer services I have ever seen. All I want is for my deck to be repaired as it hasn't even been 9 months since it was built.

Charlie called within one hour of my request for service. He came out, gave me an estimate for removing my old deck and build a new one. He started the job two days after we agreed on a very reasonable price and completed the entire job in two days. I now have a new very well built deck with a bench and flower pot. Charlie is the best and I plan on having additional work done by him at my son's house

Answered all questions before scheduling job , work was done when expected, my deck looks great, friendly hard working group , area was totally cleaned up before leaving. Would recommend and plan to use them again.

Charlie Horn came right out to give an estimate to rebuild my deck. He and his crew showed up when they said they would. They were fast, worked great as a team, and were incredibly polite and friendly. I am incredibly happy with the service, my deck looks great and it was done in one day. These guys know what they're doing. I would highly recommend this company and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for more home improvements.

09/10/2018: Never Returns Phone Calls, Shoddy work provided, uses substandard or subprime wood. I would not recommend him to do anything, he blames everyone else for problems he created. He says he stands by his work but in reality he does not stand by his work. We have been after him since the 8th of July to get our deck fixed up and repaired from his initial work. Review revised 09/10/2018: After 3 weeks of calling, I finally got someone to come out to see the issues with the deck. The woman he sent took photos of the issues. She could not believe how bad it looked. Yes there was shrinkage but there were other major issues. the two "guys" he sent out took photos and said they agreed with me that a major re-do was needed. They were not prepared for what they saw. They said they would get back to Charlie with what they found and he would get back to me. Charlie has not been out to see the deck since the day it was done. I have been calling him regarding the deck issues since early July. It is now September.

Charlie Horn was quick to reach out to me and get the job done. His pricing is MORE than competitive and his crew were extremely polite. I LOVE my new deck and will be contacting Horn Carpentry in the future for more projects.

I did hire this company and thought they were good but found out they do not stand behind their work. Had a problem with the deck they built and after repeated attempts to get them out to fix it they have still not lived up to their word. It has been over a month and still no show!

We hired Charlie to do a complete overhaul of our basement and garage area in a home built in 1927. This project took 6 weeks and added approximately 1000 sq ft of new living space!! From the start Charlie and his crew worked to make our vision a reality. The project included leveling the basement floor, extensive electrical and plumbing work, the addition of a half bath, a large great room, office, laundry room, utility room and mud room. A project of this scope always has surprises and through them all, Charlie would discuss the problem and we would come up with the best solution together. Thank You to all of the Horn Carpentry Team!!! Our family can't wait to enjoy this amazing new space!!
