John did a fantastic job on finishing our basement! We are so pleased by the quality of work that he did, with close attention to detail and honest work! He was a wonderful person to work with and gave us a fair bid and the finished product was much better than the work that our original contractor did on our new construction. John went the extra mile to make sure that finishes and everything along the way was the best quality of work. We would definitely recommend!

John was able to win us over from the first meeting with his very open and honest personality. We never felt any pressure, and that was something I did appreciate. From the beginning, John demonstrated his attention to detail and thoroughness. John gave us a quote along with a payment schedule and timeline on the project and everything was done as agreed upon. I was most impressed on how well he kept us informed on the process and decisions that needed to be made, and when he needed or responses. This was a very big project and if you list all the decisions that are needed, it can be a bit overwhelming. John worked with us sorting it all out. The subcontractors that HouseWorks Constuction works with were all top tier craftsmen that have the same attention to detail and provided quality workmanship. The overall project could not have been done better. We highly recommend House Works and would work with this company without reservation. Thanks again for a job well done!

Superior plus! With excellent attention to detail, John handled every aspect of my basement remodeling project with an expectation that I would be satisfied 100%. I am! John's exceptional work ethic and extraordinary knowledge of the business and what needed to be done made the job run effortlessly and finished on time and in budget. I can't say enough about the high quality of his workmanship or his character. You would be lucky to have him do your project.

I couldn't have asked for a better copy contractors. John was extremely timely, our shower was done in a week from start to finish. He was extremely friendly and made sure that I was getting the best deal. He gladly offered to fix small things for no extra charge so that the job was done right. The job also did not interrupt our lives at all. He made sure to leave the place clean every night. We loved having John work on our bathroom and we will definitely hire him for any other needs that we have on our house.

If you want your job to be done fast, don't hire John. If you want your job to be done professionally, meeting your specifications with competent sub contractors, hire John. 1. Reface cabinets and drawers - He perfectly matched the stain on our old cabinets with new cabinet doors. Did the same with new drawers and a lazy Susan in a corner space. Very nice job. 2. New counter top - Suggested manufacturers of counter top material, had the sub come in and measure and when installed, it fit perfectly the first time with no modifications necessary. 3. Electrical - Suggested additional outlets in strategic locations . They were installed with a professional and friendly sub (who also offered suggestions to improve our original plan.) 4. Splash back - John advised us on tile and the sub that installed was very competent and friendly , again with some suggestions that improved the job. 5. Installed new sink and garbage disposal- Had a few good chuckles with the plumber . Again, a competent sub. Cost - John gave us an upfront price and he came in very close to his quote even though we threw in some add-ons during the course of the job. He's very easy to work with and is very physically hands on with every aspect of the job. Good contractor - will hire him again in a heartbeat!

John did an excellent job finishing our basement. He is an honest, hard working person who pays close attention to detail on his work and it really shows in the finished product. John is a very honest, hardworking, fair and attentive to details. He is a true professional who knows the business well and doesn't make promises he can't keep. He gives you an honest upfront price and sticks to it. You don't have to worry about hidden costs or fees that may arise when using another company. You are involved in every step of the project and if something doesn't work he helps you resolve that problem. In our case my mother chose tiles that wouldn't hold up for use in the floor so he suggested that we use those in the shower for decorative accents, making mom very happy. He didn't want us to spend money on something that wouldn't hold up. We appreciate his honesty whereas another contractor would likely have just installed them on the floor. We will definitely refer him to anyone needing a contractor as well as use him again in the future.

John is the best general contractor we've ever worked with. He is meticulous in every segment of the remodeling process and has the best subs that I've ever encountered. What made John stand out is he is physically hands on in doing a lot of the work himself . He is a perfectionist in the details and uses only quality material. I would highly recommend John without any reservations for any of your remodeling projects

Very professional and complete

We would recommend John Ford to anyone who is in need of a contractor. His work is excellent and timely. He is very fair with pricing and does what he says he will do. We are very happy with the porch addition he added to our home.

He was on time, able to get our project done in a very short time frame which included his work which was great as well as getting a plumber, electrician, and countertop folks to get the job done.
