DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! I waited to post this review because I wanted to give Houston Lightscapes time to make it rightâ ¦ but apparently they donâ t care about their customers or the work they do. We had them come out to install bistro lights on our patio. We wanted four strands of lights hanging from our upstairs balcony to four poles that were already staked into the ground by us. They came out and installed cheap plastic lights that gave off barely any light. Also the light bulbs were spaced super far apart. They charged us $1200 dollars for this! $1200 for four strands of cheap lights that were placed into poles that were already in the ground. I called and spoke with the owner Mike and asked if I could get an itemized receipt for the lights. I wanted to know how it was possible that we paid $1200 for lights that cost $20. He was so taken aback that I was asking for a receipt. He started stuttering and got aggressive. Mike told me â we donâ t operate like that. We donâ t give itemized receipts because we price things ourselves.â I let him know that was unacceptable and that I am unhappy with the lights. He said that those were the lights they had to install because they were over a pool. I let him know that these were not the lights we agreed to and if I would have seen them in advance I would not have paid that much. We talked for a while and he was very aggressive. I let him know Iâ m not angry and that I just want a resolution to this problem. Even if they came out and installed better lights I would just agree to the ridiculous $1200 price point. He said that he would come out and install different bulbs for us. Fast forward 6 weeks laterâ ¦. He still did not replace the lights. Every time I called to check on this there was an excuse. Finally he sent a team out to fix the lights. When they showed up to my house they informed me they donâ t have the lights. He sent a 4 person team to my house for no reason. Literally had nothing in their truck to fix the problem.. they were confused about why they were there and I was so mad. I called the owner and I let him know that he sent them there empty handed. He replied â I know, it was a rough morningâ ¦â What?! The workers got sent into the trenches to take grenades for their incompetent boss. I was very nice to them and let them know itâ s not their fault that their boss has no idea how to run a company. It seemed like they were used to this type of situation. I told him I just wanted a refund. His people could take the lights and we can just part ways. He told me â just give me one more day. I will have them come tomorrow to make this right!â I agreed, because I am nice. Guess what Mike didâ ¦. He never sent anyone out the next day and he blocked my phone number!! I couldnâ t get ahold of him. He tried to ghost me! I called him from my daughterâ s phone and he picked up â ¦ I said Mikeâ ¦. No one came to my house today to fix the lights. His response â are you sure about that?â Like what??? Of course Iâ m sure. I also informed him that he blocked my number. He denied it but â ¦ itâ s obvious Iâ m blocked. He came up with some excuse to get off the phone with me and never called me back. I am now contacting my lawyer and the BBB to move forward with the next steps. Please do not use this company. The owner is so aggressive and doesnâ t know how to work with others. I have no idea how this place is still in business.

They were always punctual. Did a great job at a reasonable price. Came back the following day to check on one of the lights. Would gladly hire again.

I was overwhelmed with Houston Lightscapes from start to finish. Their price for the total project was half of what I had anticipated! The final outcome was wonderful and my neighbors and others have passed by in the evening and inquired about the company who installed the lights. Staff (office and field) are truly professional! Worth every dollar and more!

It was a very pleasant experience. I had a certain budget in mind and they were able to work with me. The lighting made my house stand out from all the rest and now we have a sense of security when we get home at night as well. Definitely VERY happy and will probably use them for my place of business on some lighting needs in the future. Recommended!

Very nice and great customer service. When they came out to repair and replace outside lighting they were very detailed and very clean . I plan on hiring them again for some other work I need done.

I couldn't be more satisfied with the service and the treatment I received from Houston Lightscapes. When I called to make an appointment, the Office Manager was courteous and friendly, and she seemed genuinely interested in helping me. She even made the effort to expedite my appointment date. Mike arrived for my appointment on time, and he was friendly, courteous, and professional looking. He listened to my problem, explained my options, and performed the work quickly and without leaving a mess. I was amazed at how little he charged me. When the time comes to replace my lighting system, I will call Mike without hesitation. You won't find better service, quality work , or price anywhere.

I had previously hired another landscape lighting company before and felt they definitely did not lived up to what seemed to be a good reputation, so I was especially careful to make sure that I got a really excellent landscape lighting company this time. I read all of the reviews on multiple websites and ended up choosing Houston Lightscapes. I live on almost an acre of land in Memorial near Loop 610. I got an immediate phone call back with an appointment the next day. The representative from the company was very polite and professional. We walked the entire project and discussed options. They actually reused some of my old lighting fixtures in different areas of the yard. The lighting that was installed was just what I was looking for. They used a minimum number of high quality lighting fixtures to light the entire property with a very soft natural glow. The job was completed in 2 days and the representative came back to check the project that evening to make sure that I was satisfied. A few minor changes were done at my request. I,honestly, could not be more pleased and I am extremely particular about details. I recommend Houston Lightscapes 100% with absolutely no hesitation. For the size of my project, I thought the pricing was very fair and my experience with all of the people working on the job was excellent. I will definitely call them back for any other projects in the future.
