Houston Roof Masters

If I could give this David Miller fellow negative stars I would. I should have followed my initial instinct, anyway below is a narrative of my unpleasant experience with his roof repair services. 9/20 - I engaged Roofmasters through HomeAdvisor to repair two small leaks in the roof of my sons upstairs bedroom, it had rained the day before and a cup full of water had drained into the room. First warning - David did not present a quote, instead went into sales pitch (snake oil salesman style). Second warning - the price he stated ($550) appeared too high for what i believed was a minor repair. He even said i should pay more as he had fixed two problems. Third warning - he announced that he would check the entire roof and fixed other issues and that he already had the replacement kit in hand so could do it right away - I was swayed by that last point. It took all of 20 mins for the job to be completed, i came out to observe the first 10 minutes and saw his assistant applying some glue/sealant to nail heads ( i was assured that would fix all my leaks). I asked for a warranty and invoice but David said he had given his word and besides he was the company and therefore the warranty, that i should call him for any issues. On Thursday 11/7 - it rained and yes, it leaked in the exact same spots in my sons bed room. I contacted David and he said i should give him my address as he could not find my invoice - i explained that he did not give me an invoice but i have the cheque stub that i used to pay him. He said he would call back after i texted him my address. Friday 11/8 - I called and texted to remind him of my leaking roof and he said he could not tell me when his team would come out to check it as they were very busy, i was not amused, but he said he couldn not schedule as they were all out on jobs. Tuesday 11/12 - I called and texted again and he said the earliest he could come round was the next Monday 11/18 and that he was not sure of the time, but he would let me know. Tuesday 11/19 - I texted him when nobody showed up on Monday and he said he would be there on Friday 11/22 - that he had called on Monday and it went to my voicemail (my phone does not show any missed calls but ..) Friday 11/22 - It rained the night before and yes it leaked again. So I send David a text TODAY IS FRIDAY and he replies that he is in court and that it is taking longer and he would be at my house on Sunday 11/24. I told him that this is unacceptable service and behavior and the gentleman replied You are not the only person i work for sir. I typically do not write these types of reviews as I understand intricately the hard work put into running a small business, but I have exhausted my patience with David.

Very good service. Took pictures before and after work . Very detailed . Extremely satisfied. Highly recommended

Have another qualified roofer or inspector to check their work.They did sub standard repairs on roof and in ceiling.

Well trained technicians they found the problem right away and took care of it for a very cheap price

Beware of shoddy work and make sure what is promised is included in the price.

When dealing with any contractor, always make sure to get a written quote and ask to be shown the work that is to be performed, before you agree to a price. And establish for yourself what a reasonable price would be for the proposed work. This contractor gave me a verbal price to repair a leak on my asphalt roof, which was very high, and gave me an expectation of a lot of work to be done, saying he would have to call in a helper to complete the job. After less than an hour on my roof by himself, he said it was done. I had to ask him to show me what was done. Only black sealant on a few pipe flanges and on a few raised nail heads. When I objected to the exorbitant price (well over $1000) for an hour of labor, he said he used expensive sealant and I was paying for his 23 years of experience rather than an hourly rate. When I told him what I thought the job was worth, he related his personal family issues that would be affected by my not paying his price. Not professional at all! We ultimately worked it out, although at a price higher than the work was worth. But I should have done my due diligence at the start to have avoided these issues. Cannot recommend this contractor.

David and his crew came out on the dot and did a great job!!! Very professional and courteous towards me. David explained everything clearly to me up front. The crew was able to fix my roof shortly and did another job onsite. They cleaned up after themselves too, which is surprising some people don't do. Top notch on the job!! I would use them again!

I asked for a work invoice and assumed it would have the details of all of the work listed that was stated and quoted to me that was done. I got the invoice and the work was not listed in detail.

Very Professional. He came immediately after the call and fixed the roof the same day! Not only that, his work is guarantied for 3 years! I was very satisfied!

David gives you the best customer service ever! He was patient, knowledgable and so helpful when working with my insurance.... My roof looks amazing! THANKS DAVID!

I had another roofing company promise a repair job they couldn't complete, They backed out last minute.I called Roof Masters and they were able to complete the repair job for us with a better warranty than we originally planned. They were on time with and budget with our job from start to finish. We will call them again.

He was excellent, on time when he said he was coming. Was good doing evaluation of my roof and did great job and finished the same day.

They completed a roof repair and the shingles lay flat just like they are a part of the original job. And above all they passed the rain test. No leak.

Very professional, had some shingles flew off my roof from the hurricane. He was there same day and finished it and I was pretty.

He's a very good, polite, professional worker! He explains everything, the worker was completed that same day!
