We are extremely pleased with our remodeled bathroom! Brian also installed LVP flooring throughout the main level of our home, & it looks amazing! He did an excellent job of communicating, which is very important to us. This was true when he scheduled a plumber & electrician for the bathroom, as well. Ours was a complete bathroom remodel & Brian paid attention to all of the details —flooring, shower, soaking tub, vanity, mirror & lighting. If there were unanticipated decisions to be made, he always asked us before moving forward. We encountered several setbacks for materials that were NO fault of Brian’s, which delayed the completion of the bathroom, but he continued to maintain his high standard of skills & workmanship. We appreciated his work ethic, & the beauty of the new bathroom & flooring are worth the wait! Great conversational skills & sense of humor were also true of Brian & his assistant, Jacob, which added to this positive experience. Highly recommend this contractor!

Very fine young gentleman to work with. If you had a decision to make about some repairs, he would offer suggestions but not pressure you. He would let you decide for yourself what you wanted him to do. His workmanship is very good. He gets my 5 star recommendation. He took time to stop by about a week after project was done just to check things out and make sure We were still happy with the job.

Brian remodeled both of our bathrooms within a couple months of each other. He was a pleasure to work with! Not only was he super responsive, he was upfront about costs and timing, and provided honest feedback & guidance. He gave us options that stayed within our budget, but also recommendations that made sense. It was awesome to work with a contractor that you fully trusted had your best interest at heart. We unfortunately had a pipe burst during the extreme low temperatures at the end of January, and essentially had to have most of our dining room and living room dismantled and put back together. The job entailed removal of cabinets/ sink/countertops, removal of molded/ wet drywall, installation of proper insulation per permitting requirements, installation of drywall, painting, and resetting everything back in place. (We also added in a tile backsplash as well). Brian took care of the project from start to finish answering questions along the way, and adding on odd jobs as the project required. My husband and I work in property Management and encounter a lot of vendors... what was most impressive about Brian is his attention to detail, how well he kept the site even while working, his clean-up, and dependability. I was recently talking to one of our neighbors who had a pipe burst on the same day as ours, and their construction had not even began by the time ours was nearing the end. That is because whenever Brian said he would come, he did... he worked efficiently through the project so that a construction that some general contractors would have stretched out 3 months, he completed in 2 weeks which included the permit process. I would definitely recommend Hughes to anyone looking for general contracting work. Their excellent customer service, professionalism, presentation, and reliability all made a stressful time go as smooth as possible.

Brian was a fantastic help for minor fixes to our new home. He offered great advice on areas that need attention in the future, including tile fixes in our bathroom. He was prompt and easy to work with. We will definitely recommend him to others!

Let’s say I was LUCKY enough to come across Brian. We bought a house built in 84 that we liked the bones, but wanted to do a total remodel of the interior short of moving any walls. Not being from the area, we only had Brian and he hooked us up with the best sources for materials and he knew the exact sub-contractors to bring on board that all have the same high attention to detail that he has. A great asset of Brian is accountability. One of his subs didn’t finish a key part of his job and we noticed it only the day we moved in. Brian came over that night after a full day of work on another site and made it right. That said, he kept me on track by ensuring we got tile, flooring, etc picked out in time so he could continue working. If you’re doing a large project, you need to recognize that this is a partnership if you want it to go well and you need to be accountable too. Along the way we had a few things of ‘yea, I know I told you to do this, but now that I see it, I hate it.’ If it was small enough Brian would roll with it and fix it. If it was larger, I’d recognize that it was my bad decision and that he’d need to be compensated for his time and we’d agree for him to tack it onto the bill. Brian has a great eye and has seen a lot so listen to him. I’d throw an idea out there and he’d say ‘ you could do that, but here’s what you’re going to run into once you’re living here…’ I’d almost always go with his recommendation. Our project was well into 5 figures just for his and his subs labor. I’ve spent a lot of time and money with him and would instantly recommend him to anyone that asked. It’s a real relationship you get into with someone when you undertake something like this. You want someone with not only the right craftsman skills but also someone with a good character and business person that you’ll enjoy working with throughout the process. He’s your man. Look no further.

Brain was prompt and did an excellent job of installation. He was very efficient and was done in 1.5 hours.

Brian was great! I had floor to ceiling old sliding closet doors in two bedrooms. Brian came to my house and measured my closets to make sure I got the right size. I ordered mirrored closet doors as replacements. Brian then came back to my house, took out the old doors and installed the new ones. What a job. Both sets of doors were large and unwieldly, but Brian and his assistant were careful - nothing in my house was damaged. Then they hauled everything away! Price was very affordable and I am happy with their work. I would hire them again.

Brian was extremely easy to work with and very respectful of our home. He cleaned up after himself each day and kept us informed of project status. He even recommended things to enhance the look of the finished project. We already have talked with him about future bathroom and kitchen projects we want him to do.

Brian is absolutely wonderful, did a beautiful job, extremely satisfied. He was very respectful of the furniture he had to work around while installing the ceiling, very conscience about cleaning up after each day of work. Extremely trust worthy, has had a wide variety of experience. Our project was delayed because the door had a cracked door tracking and had to be reordered. All is now complete and I am very satisfied with the contractor work. His work is top quality and looks professionally done. He responded immediately through emails as the work progressed and was on time throughout the project. He was polite, very neat and thorough in his work, cleaning up after each day and final clean up on the last day. I will definitely call upon Hughes Homes Improvements again.
