Dave Hurst Electric Service

We contracted Dave Hurst to purchase and install a whole house Generac Guardian 22kW generator for a down payment of $6595.99 (cost of the generator) and an additional $3695.71 to be paid once installed. We were told at that time, that it would be about 4 months for delivery. We have since called, left voice messages, and texted him multiple times for an update: 8/16/22 - no answer, 8/29/22 - no answer, 2 calls on 8/30/22 - no answer, Called 8/31/22 (8 weeks since last call) Dave Hurst called back and told us, he did not want to have this conversation, but it would be another 6 - 8 weeks before delivery d/t the manufacturer. We asked about a refund and he said, he could not do that because he had already sent the money to Generac. We called again on 10/27/22 (12 weeks total). no answer. 01/09/23 called both numbers and left messages, and text messages. no answer. On 1/12/22 my wife, Glenna called 3 times, sent text messages, and left voice messages for a return call to update on our generator. no response. this has been 22 weeks. on 1/16/23, called and left a message for a return call. 1/17/23 called again and left a voice message for a return call.

This company does a little bit of everything. They will be my handyman in the future. Very professional and friendly great local company.

I hired Dave Hurst for an electrical project (electrical box upgrade and installation of generator line) in January. I am not posting the review until now because I like to give things a little time to see if any issues arise. Well, it is now March and no issues! So I can now provide an honest rating. I rate Dave Hurst Electric Service with five stars. I had direct contact with Dave during the entire project. Dave, himself always returned my calls in a timely manner and arrived when he said he'd be here. He and his team were professional, personable, and reliable. The cost was very reasonable and the service was exemplary. I was kept well informed about the project and they even thoroughly cleaned up behind themselves when the project was completed. Will I use Dave Hurst again and/or refer to others? Absolutely!!!

Dave was a true professional in every aspect of the word. He was on-time, polite and anyways answered my voice mails within 2 mins of calling him. At the beginning, I selected Dave because he was the first electrician to answer my HomeAdvisor quote request. In the end, he became my full-time electrician for all my needs. His reply to my quote request has led to future business. I asked Dave to install my whole house generator, propane tank, propane section of my heater and gas lines later this summer. I highly recommend you call Dave for your electrical needs. He will call you back.
