Huso Construction

I am writing this to hopefully prevent anyone else from being taken by this contractor, Benjamin C. (Craton) Huso, known as Huso Construction. His address used to be 1409 River Ridge Road, Roanoke, TX (a different address now lives in Pecan Square). Some of this is my fault, as the contractor lacked scheduling skills, empathy, and professionalism by putting his TV delivery ahead of our first scheduled meeting to come out and provide me with an estimate for the project. RED FLAG. Still, I hired Ben Huso with Huso Construction, signed a contract to perform the projected work, paid $3,500, came out and started the project of raising my garage ceiling, tore out the sheetrock, and the project sat for weeks while we waited on a plumber to come out to move the propane line up and out of the way. As you can see in the text messages, the contractor wanted me, a paying customer, to wait at his leisure due to his fathers friends visiting for another two weeks to come out and get going on the project again. I stated that this was not my problem, issue, or concern and that I expected him to come out the next day to continue on the project he quit, as you can see in the messages. This speaks volumes about this guys character, professionalism, and dignity. He also blamed me for not knowing where the propane line ran when I am not in construction, nor do I do any remodeling, and this was a spec home at that. LOL, such ludicrous words to say; it is like saying an auto mechanic should have known where to place a heart valve when a heart surgeon did. I hope you all be very very careful in hiring this company and guy to do any work on your construction and remodeling projects. Huso Construction states lies and is deceitful stating I do not understand delays when it comes to construction, I have had many projects in construction and understand rain and weather delays or shortage of parts delays but not when the contractor states his friends are in town and need to delay for two weeks because of his dads friends being in town. The Ben Huso expects the customer to wait while his dad and his friends party or whatever they want to do instead of putting the customer first. His labor was not available due to this reason and no other. LOL if Ben Huso and his business pride themselves in making sure customer satisfaction is 100% why did they delay my project for his dads friends being in town. Also, they destroyed my garage the walls that were not even part of the project. How is that making sure every job is done correctly and efficiently?

I hired Huso Construction to assemble a wooden shed. I was given a reasonable price with all the missing parts that were needed to complete the shed as well as the labor. I am very satisfied with the finished product. I would definitely recommend this company to family and friends. Thank you so much for your services!!!

Ben is straight forward, easy to work with and responsive. I hired for gutters and to pour a patio.

I hired Mr. Huso in early October 2019 to install plywood in my attic for more storage space. He also hung blinds, window casing on my back door and anchored a rail on my garage door for hanging my tools all in one day. He was punctual with start time, professional, fair in price and did a great job. He checked off all my honey-do list items. I'll definitely hire him again.

Huso Construction offered the most competitive bid. The dialogue during estimation gave me confidence that they were carefully considering and managing my expectations to match realistic outcomes and cost. I was highly satisfied with each phase of the projects (hired for multiple). The team was professional and offered helpful suggestions for my current and future projects. I'll definitely use them again.

Did a great job installing the plywood over the attic to allow for more storage. Also, did a great job hanging the drapery rods and large picture above fireplace. Only improvement I would recommend is he ensure the saw dusk is swept up from driveway from the cutting of plywood. However, I will use again.

Ben Huso is a personable man, helpful. I would recommend his company for any project.

3 month update - Ben contacted me out of the blue after hiring a new gutter crew. He came out as promised to re-adjust and tuck the gutter edge under the roofing drip edge and adjust the gutters. I really applaud Ben and his word for contacting me to make the problem right. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and Ben has sincerely impressed me with his integrity and commitment to keeping his word. Original Review - The install was quick and the gutters look good. Several seams leaked and they had to come back and re-seal. Ben is responsive but his gutter crew made several errors that I was not happy with. Many of the gutters were not pitched correctly and they were installed OVER the drip flashing instead of underneath. This will need to be fixed by me at some point.

I hired Huso to repair a brick enclosed mailbox that had been hit by a vehicle. Out of three different company quotes, Huso came in the lowest, I was skeptical of the lower rate but based on other customer reviews I hired them and couldn t be more pleased! Ben was so easy to communicate and work with, he was very perfessional, timely with follow ups and had a guy on site to do the work within a short period of time. Oscar, who showed up to do the repair was also extremely professional and courteous. The final product as well as cleanup was on point and looked better than expected! I will definitely call them again! So pleased!

Very efficient work ethic, Personable

I recommend Ben Huso with Huso Construction and plan to use for future needs. I hired Ben for a variety of projects needed such as repairing a fence, replace the back door along with trim, dry wall replacement, window screen repair and resetting and caulking toilets. Everything was completed efficiently, looks great and extremely reasonable prices!

Showed up on time and finished on time and budget. I will use them again with other projects.
