They damaged my sheetrock and acted like it was already done before they arrived. The owner is not friendly to work with. Be careful.

When I hired Hutchs Dr Energy Saver he told me his company would solve all my problems (sweating ceilings) that the previous attic insulation company (DAVCO) did not address & made worse. But that did not happen & now Hutch says hes out of business. So Im left with sweating ceilings & trying to find an honest contractor that can help me. Also, the corporate office for Dr Energy Saver told me they are not responsible, they JUST sell the products.

the gentleman who did the initial evaluation didn't have an tools to get into my attic. he didn't check anywhere else in the house for problems besides the attic. they scheduled the work and then missed the appointment. I had to strongly engage them to come do the work that day since I took off of work to wait on them. the plan they recommended for my home did not solve my issue. I have been calling them to re-evaluate my house to find the source of my problem and no one seems to want to return ny call.

Hutch is a good businessman! When he learned they were short one guy to finish installing the insulation after they had taken the old insulation out, he did not want to leave us without insulation with the heat we had been having. Hutch came down himself that day to make sure the job was done.

Hutch reviewed the work at completion and made some addition to the attic insulation to meet his job performance standards. From the beginning, home visit needs review to completion of job, everyone was very organized.

Insulation contractor knocked a sheet of sheet rock off of my new stud wall that I had to fix. Also, contractor mistakenly did not fill several stud cavities of another wall. I called Hutch and explained situation. He had his guys back to my house 2 days later to blow in more insulation (I had to fix sheet rock myself.) Be careful that you have EVERYTHING cleaned up in areas that insulation will be installed. My experience is that installers will leave a mess.

Would have liked to see someone go behind the workers to ensure quality assurance. Thought the work was expensive, more than I could have imagined.

I went into the attic the day after they had supposedly finished the job applying foam to the ducts and adding insulation to the attic. I found numerous ducts that did not have foam where there should have been foam. I also found numerous spots where the foam had not covered and cold air could be felt coming through the holes. The owner came back and foamed the areas he found needing it. The next day, I once again went into attic to check the work and found large areas on 9 out of 13 ducts that still did not have foam covering them. They came back and finally finished the job. During the initial work, they didn't cover the attic access and foam came down onto a large screen HDTV, ruining the top and back of the case. One of the workers stepped through the ceiling while they were finishing up the job, the first time. They hired someone to repair the hole, and that person did an exceptional job. However, it would have been better if the worker hadn't stepped through the ceiling. I also had them seal my crawlspace. As with the attic, I crawled under the house, inspected the work, and had to have them return to properly seal around the sump pumps. Hutch did respond to all of my concerns and they fixed what needed to be fixed. However, when I hire a professional recommended by Home Advisor, I do not expect to have to climb into the attic or under the house to perform what should be their Quality Control job. There hasn't been enough time since the job was completed, so I cannot really say whether or not there is value for the money.
