I & A Moving and Storage

They quoted me one price and when they showed up to do the project they changed the quote to three times more. Very bad business dealings

We have not had the movers come yet so unable to answer question 1 regarding the work quality

On August 18th I contacted I and A Moving via their website. I later got a call from an employee named Alex Macintosh. we spent sometime, approx. 1 hour, on the phone going over all the items I had to move from California to Tennesse. These items included 150 boxes, household furniture and appliances. Alex later sent me a quote and a job. The amount was $5,146.55. They estimated 949 cubic feet of trailer to do the move. I told Alex that the boxes were mostly the 2 x 2 x 1.5 from U-haul but he figured it at 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5. I told him everything was in 3 storage units that were 7 x 12 and one 9 x 12 packed about 6 ft high to hold all my stuff. There was also a few items in my 12 x 25 unit. These items were listed on the inventory. This is over 2,100 cubic feet. On Oct. 16th I called Alex and confirmed that I wanted them to do the move and that I would like it picked up on Oct. 25th. A couple of days later I got a call from another employee that wanted to go over my inventory list and confirm the size of the truck needed for this move. When I talked to him I asked if they would be using an 18 wheel vehicle as it would be hard to maneuver in the storage facility and I would make arrangements to get things brought up to a location where they could be loaded. He told me yes so I made those arrangements. They showed up with a smaller truck their foreman Mike looked at the storage units and said the estimate was right on. After I had paid them and they had half the stuff loaded Mike told me they had under estimated the size and they need twice that size a truck and to do the move it would cost me another $3,444.45 since they had me over a barrel I agree to this. I feel that they had more than enough info to estimate the cost and that this was a sham to get more money out of me. They could not show till October 26th and could not get everything in so they returned the next day for the rest. Then they loaded it on a larger truck and drove it with my bed tied onto the back through the snow ruining them. I have picture if need be.

They did a great job on our move. They called on-time to let me know they were 20-30 mins away. They got right to work and ensured all of my furniture was carefully wrapped for the move. I would recommend their service.

The guys arrived on time and handled everything properly, wrapping the fragile items, etc. I recommend using this moving service.

All in all, a good experience for a good price.

I can only recommend I & A Moving and Storage. First of all they sent me a really good and competitive quote within an hour. They arrived 10 minutes before the agreed time to allow time to assess how much I had and make sure they started on time. They were very helpful and the whole move was smooth. They finished within the estimated time. I will definitely use their services in the future.

The service was exceptional, Quotes were received promptly and the service was booked and confirmed by e-mail. The van and accompanying men arrived on time and were extremely helpful. I strongly recommend them.

We had packing and wrapping on first day of move. They were quick and professionally packed our inventory. As per estimation on moving day our inventory fit into given big truck and 2 vans. We appreciate their hard work and care they have taken for our move.

After a very stressful time selling my house, the packing, storage and delivery service to my new house was a welcome relief. From the first call, everything went smoothly. They moved us from our one bedroom to a two bedroom with great efficiency and professionalism. They did expert dismantling of large furniture and carefully packed my valuables as promised. They were knowledgeable, cheerful and very hardworking so I would not hesitate to recommend them here.

I & A Moving and Storage is far and away the best moving service I have ever used. They helped me move a few weeks ago and to my surprise, it was a seamless transition. I have hired several moving companies in the past and there always seems to be some sort of issue. That was not the case with I & A Moving and Storage. I & A Moving and Storage took really good care of my things. They were right on time and worked really quick but also were very careful. They boxed everything up and used bubble wrap on all the fragile stuff. I've moved a few times within state and have dealt with a lot of bad moving companies. The service was affordable and they have some really good people working for them.
