Matt came out in May 2021 to evaluate my patio concrete. We agreed upon the work and the price. I then asked him 4x for a written proposal which he did not provide until the day he came out. The day before many revisions were made to the contract as of course Matt could not remember what he had said back in May on June 30th. Since the proposal was not written in a timely manner I still do not agree entirely with it but the project went ahead. A one day project turned into 2 weeks for various reasons. At the completion of the project there was still a significant gap that was left between the old and new concrete that was specifically talked about and included in the contract that was to be repaired. The concrete was not sealed as agreed. I have tried numerous times to contact Matt and he will not return my text messages or call. Update: After I filed a complaint with Angi, Matt text me the next day and said he would send someone out the following day and then informed me that could not happen and said he would would inform me of when the next person can come out, he showed up unannounced the next day when I was not home, he filled the gap in-between the porch and existing cement and sealed off one area of the cement. He did not seal all the seams as we agreed upon, there was so much cement residue from the porch that it has left a splotch layer of grey cement over my colored stamped cement. The finished work was shoddy.

Stamped Concrete Installation
Top notch work at a great price. I got a stamped colored concrete patio, sidewalk and retaining wall put in. They charged half of what everyone else was quoting at and they did a good job. Matt is easy to work with and maintains good communication throughout the project. I recommended them to my neighbor across the street for a driveway and they were satisfied with their service too.

Be careful hiring this company! Dan Stewart (owner) of Lighthouse Construction Services LTD and partner Matt (owner) Icon Concrete LLC took our money and ran. They insisted on us giving them 50% of the down payment before signing any contracts. We agreed to give them 5% down payment of garage in good faith to start pulling permits and putting a down payment on lumber. NO permits or supplies got ordered at all. We thought that they were decent guys since they got referred by our architect. Make sure that you look over there contract as we did not agree to there's because it was so one sided. In there contract it states if you come to a disagreement they can take your money and run. They try to get you on the backend with change orders. We decided to not got further with working with them and hired a more honest company. We asked for our money back and they took the 7,665.00 from us and said it for for there time bidding on project. No company EVER charges for bidding on projects. As I got 4 other bids and not one of them charged one cent. This is what businesses do when they are trying to land a job there was no agreement with us to pay to bid on a project. These guys are crooks and a scam. Please beware of hiring these companies. We are filing criminal and civil charges against these two.

"Icon Concrete, our company, did bid on concrete work as a subcontractor to Lighthouse Construction. However, we were not paid any money. We do not ask for a deposit from customers until a contract is signed, and the work is set to begin; to our knowledge, Lighthouse did not pull building permits. We are very sorry that Mr. Manny T. lost any money paid to Lighthouse, and hope that he recovers it. We urge homeowners to read our other reviews in order to understand how we treat customers."

Every portion of the project went extremely well. The tear out crew was awesome the form crew did an excellent job and the finishers were, well lets just say perfect. The job came out exactly as we planned, well actually better. They did a great job and it came out perfect. A pleasure to work with at every phase. We would definitely hire them again. Made and MET commitments as to estimate, job site prep, concrete pouring and finishing and cleanup. Employees were polite, efficient, friendly and professional. Estimator/project manager was onsite for start and during the entire project although not onsite site full time which was not necessary. Follow up was performed as planned and job was completed as committed. Would strongly recommend them for concrete work to anyone.

Foreman Matt went above and beyond our expectations. Our driveway was scheduled and completed within a week or two of calling iCon. There were no hassles or problems for us. The cement mixer truck backed up our steep and curvy driveway. The cement workers all knew exactly what they were doing (and gave our dog a lot of attention)! Best of all, the driveway is perfect!

Matt the owner took my money and refused to finish the job. The job was sloppy with a cement film left on my nice pavers, he still has not painted the retaining wall after almost a month and globs of concrete deposits were left in the dirt garden area to replant. He does not return numerous calls or texts. He demanded a second payment before the job was done then never returned. Don't hire this Company. You will regret it. The frustration of hiring this Company has left me with undue stress for I hired and paid Matt in good faith. Poor judgement on my part to give him anymore money until this very expensive job was complete. You will regret hiring him.

"We apologize for the delays in communication, and in the final detailing of this job. We will remain in contact and assure you that the job will be completed once the snow and ice have melted. UPDATE: The job has now been completed to the customers satisfaction. We never request full payment until a job is completed; including clean up, and the customer is satisfied. A discount was given, as a show of good faith, due to multiple weather delays and having to wait for snow and ice to melt before we could return to complete the clean-up on this project."

The work was done so poorly- cracks, chips, flaking, uneven edges, unequal segments, uneven color and texture- we had to have another company tear out the entire driveway, walkway, and steps and redo them. Because of their concrete splatter and damage made by their attempts to remove it we need to buy new garage doors and a new mailbox. The crew was so sloppy we were left with cigarette butts, food scraps, food wrappers and soda bottles to clean up. We then had to file a claim in Small Claims Court to recoup some of our losses. We have owned a home in Boulder for 32 years and have hired many companies for various projects- remodeling, construction, landscaping, etc.- and have never had an experience like this.

Used our boards, Matt said he would replace, then stated he would pay us for the wood used. Never has. Had to call them back 3 times to clean up mess. Left banana peels, watermellon and water bottles all over front yard. we now need to hire a company to put a sealant on. Matt's crew never did. Tore up our front hard sod with machine. Not worth the trouble or money.

"We regret the misunderstanding; customer wife approved us using old scrap wood from the deck that had been removed. We are more than willing to pay for the wood. We apologize that the workers left garbage and will monitor this better when we come back for our walkthrough. As we explained in our contract the yard may have some damage when the equipment is brought in to break out the concrete. We do our best to keep this to a minimum and will repair the damage to the yard if necessary. We apologize for any delay in response time and any inconvenience. We take these reviews seriously and will continue to train workers and make positive changes."

We had a very extensive project project in preparation for building a fence that involved pouring a concrete driveway, a patio, re-grading our entire back yard, pouring a retaining wall , as well as a stem wall. And removing many trees and grinding stumps, and even moving boulders and big rocks. Before the project even started, Matt came to our house multiple times as we worked through the planning process, and I have lost count of how many emails and phone calls- he encouraged us to keep asking questions so we could be sure to end up with just what we wanted. We also had a fairly complex situation with a neighbor, which Matt was really great about helping us navigate and even help us come up with a solution. And that was all before they even got started! Once the project got underway, the team was absolutely awesome. They came early in the morning and were extremely hard and talented workers- it was clear that they didn't just know what they were doing and have the right skills, but they all also had a vision for what would look good and really cared about the details of making everything just right! We were very impressed with the professionalism of the team and found them to also be very considerate. At the end of the project, everything looked much better than I had ever imagined it could turn out, and we were so, so pleased. We would absolutely and without hesitation recommend Icon Concrete. They were a good value, and we're so pleased with the end result. I think the most important factor though looking back at the entire project (from planning to execution) was the time, attention, and detail with which Matt helped us in advance of the actual work of the project. He was very responsive in person, phone and email, and really worked hard to help us ensure the project ended up the way we wanted it (and it turned out even better than we had hoped!)

The work was done in a timely manner! I did want him to send someone from the crew back to pick up the harden concrete sludge that was carelessly poured under my tree, and also had an issue with cracked walkway at the corner the house which occurred only 2 months after it was poured! I would be happy if the sludge was cleaned up and the one crack in the concrete fixed, and for another review! Matt did come over to check the problems out but no one has come by to repair and pick up as of yet! He did offer to have someone come over but that has not been done yet. (THE REPAIRS WERE MADE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND I WOULD CHANGE THE RATING FROM A 3.5 TO A 4.5 STARS.)

The concrete work was adequate, although they waited a bit long to work the concrete so it was a little dry but it was in the 90s the day it was poured. Clean up afterwords could have been much better

Had a concrete pad on the side of my house, for my boat. Wanted to extend it out to the street, adjacent to the driveway. Needed the company I hire to do the whole package, including digging out and hauling away the grass/soil. (Which was no easy thing, with 6-inch wide tap roots where I had a tree removed! )Matt and his guys did a great job! And for $$$ less than the other 2 companies I got estimates from !!
