"Hello, Laura! When we completed your 14 ft x 18 ft concrete patio, and 7 ft wide wooden steps in May of 2016 for $2,775, we were happy to have done business with you. We were both pleased with the outcome of the patio and steps once completed, and felt we had given you a very fair price for the work. A year later, in the Spring of 2017, you informed us that your concrete patio had cracked after the multiple winter freezes, and we scheduled an appointment to inspect the patio. We determined the crack was likely a result of the clogged gutters and downspout, introducing excess water to the area of the patio. Ideal Renovations then agreed to remove and replace the section of patio that had cracked. In the Spring of 2017, we removed and replaced that section of the concrete patio, at no additional cost to you. These repairs are valued at $750, and were repaired, even though the crack was most likely related to the excess water from the gutters and downspouts. In December of 2017, nearly six months later, we were informed that you did not like the concrete joints. While we may have missed a few of your phone calls to the office in December, we did not have a full time receptionist going into the winter months. Once we spoke in December, we agreed to do a follow up inspection this Spring, because there was snow covering the patio at that time. A follow up inspection was conducted, and when we spoke about the joints the week of April 16th, our Owner offered to caulk the entire concrete patio at no cost to you, once again ($400 value). You were on our schedule to complete the caulking, however on April 26th, we received notification of your HomeAdvisor review. Our Owner immediately reached out to you, and after a 25 minute conversation, you informed him you no longer wanted his assistance. We are disappointed that one our customers has these opinions of our business, even after our corrective measures. For the last 10 years, we have worked tirelessly to ensure our customers have positive experiences, and are satisfied with the end result of their project. Our company has never had an experience such as this one, with a customer being so unsatisfied, and even after trying everything possible to rectify the situation. We remain willing to caulk the entire patio at no cost to you. Please contact our office to have this added to our schedule. Thank you, Ideal Renovations."
