We engaged the services of Paul Turzio to renovate the apartment we use as an office. After researching a number of companies, we found him to be the most creative, communicative, and downright inspiring contractor we could find. He had many design ideas all throughout the process. We wound up doing this project in the middle of CoVid. Every website had warnings that there would be delays, but Paul made decisions to purchase early so they would be waiting for us when we were ready for them. He encouraged us to do more with the waiting/living room, and we were so glad he did. It simproved the roomâ s effect. His custom â millwork,â are big improvements including a fold-up table that hides the radiator and added more space where we needed it. It was a pleasant working relationship. As therapists, we felt good about his conflict resolution, because it enabled us to keep on target and get the work done. There are some contractors with whom weâ ve worked in the past where weâ d never have lasted this long in a good working relationship. As it happened, we worked with Paul for a year, and stayed friendly throughout. Heâ s authentic, smart, creative, and listens to what customers want.
Response from Company:
It has been a pleasure working with you, but more importantly, becoming friends with you both. Wishing you all the best in your new beautiful space.

Paul and his team were great to work with. THey helped with design and build out for a full bathroom remodel. We would definitely hire them again!

We had an incredible experience working with Paul Turzio and his staff in converting a hallway closet into a home office. Paul's master craftsman, Juan, custom built a black walnut bookcase, desk and vertical file folder drawer set. The quality and craftsmanship are out of this world! Paul will take good care of you.

Great experience working with Paul Turzio and his staff. Cabinets look amazing. Paul designed the cabinets and I trusted his ideas and I am very happy I did. The Installation was done perfectly and very neatly. Overall very satisfied

We felt that Paul Turzio was unprofessional and abrasive. Working with Paul was a very stressful and unpleasant experience. The only positive was that Paul is very responsive and does keep the lines of communication open. For example, Paul agreed to provide a design rendering of our project in exchange for the $1,500 deposit, but we were unsatisfied with the rendering and, in our opinion, it added no value. Part of the $1,500 initial deposit was to also help guide us with our design and accessory choices. We had to seek Home Depots help for all of our choices because we felt that Paul was not knowledgeable and generally unhelpful. My husband spent 4 hours at Home Depot trying to find a microwave. As another example, we were very clear that we needed Paul's crew's help in moving our furniture for the job before even hiring Paul; Paul said no problem initially, but then later on said he couldn't do it and we felt that he made it into a huge issue before finally agreeing to it. We also indicated from the beginning that we wanted Marble tiles in our bathroom (despite the extra cost in materials), but Paul told us that the labor costs for installing Marble tiles would be more expensive than Ceramic. We spoke to several other contractors, and all of the contractors that we spoke to told us that the labor costs for installing Ceramic vs Marble is the same. In addition to, in our opinion, Paul's lack of professionalism, below are additional reasons why we were unsatisfied with Paul: 1) We provided Paul with a copy of our co-op contract and our insurance requirements well in advance of the project and asked him if he had concerns -- he indicated that there would not be an issue with respect to the contract. However, when it came time for him to sign the contract (after we had already signed the initial agreement and after paying him the initial deposit), he then said that he had serious concerns about signing the contract. 2) Paul told my husband (who is a lawyer) that he should draft Paul a legal agreement (hold harmless) that would be between us and Paul. We were never told in advance that we would have to draft an agreement for Paul, and it seems unfair that we (as clients) would have to write an agreement for a contractor that we were hiring. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with Paul Turzio. We ended up hiring another contractor who offered us more innovative ideas and designs and delivered an amazing final product that was well within our budget. We would not recommend hiring Paul Turzio
Response from Company:
We can't sign contracts with clients who insist on circumventing laws and city building codes, so we back off. Our 10 step process assures safe and sound installation. We never move forward until all parties are comfortable with the process. No others offer a full design and build program for $1500 inclusive of technical measurements, plans, product specification, procurement, color render and management. These clients took advantage thinking anything they decided was a part of the cost. They were disappointed after we heard about their practices from another GC. They used our work to discount design / plan fees with others who don't do it.

Paul and his crew were exceptional. From design throughout the project, everything was finished exactly as planned. There is a need to follow their process, but results usually exceeded expectations. Paul works hard to provide better solutions to the plan, and he is informative when it comes to making selections and decisions. Their service is complete with plans, purchasing items and fixtures and communications. They make custom furniture too and this was helpful as we wanted to convert a closet into a wet bar. Paul can be persistent, but I found it was always with my best interest and budget at heart. I will hire them again for my closets and office.

Paul totally remodeled the kitchen in an apartment I own in West Greenwich Village while we communicated via e-mail and phone from California. The old kitchen was totally gutted to the studs and Paul helped me with a new design and picking out cabinets, flooring, counter top stone and splashes as well as new appliances, fixtures and lighting. He was a pleasure to work with: polite, full of design ideas yet respectful of mine, always returned my e-mail and phone questions, budget minded and finished on schedule. The results were spectacular with attention to detail and finish. The BEST ever!

Paul was very attentive to our needs for our tiny kitchen remodel, which many contractors were not interested in doing or were more interested in padding with extra costs. It turned out beautifully and looks so much better now -- and works so much better too, thanks to his plumbing and electrical work

From the first consultation about our project (designing, manufacturing and installing cabinets for a "tiny" laundry room) until the final check was paid, this has been an efficient, courteous, knowledgeable team of professionals. My home was treated respectfully as was my "building"& my family. Each day after finishing, the crew vacuumed and cleaned up whatever debris remained. Communication was very important. I found our designer returning e-mails & phone messages promptly & courteously with the information that I required as well as checking on the work as it progressed or required adjustments. Quality results; quality teamwork.

Paul Turzio and his team were contracted to remodel the bathroom in my New York City apartment earlier this year. He was our primary resource for all steps of the process, including design, demolition and construction, and he also did practically all of the legwork in terms of dealing with logistical issues. At every stage of the project Paul was available to answer our questions regarding cost, timeframes and materials. Paul completed the full project within a tight budget and mostly on schedule. He delivered an excellent product as there have been no quality issues on our end to report.
