"This is not at all why this customer and I had an issue, this customer knowingly took advantage of my company, he conducted himself in a deceptive manner bringing about the problem at hand: The customer provided me with pictures of the repairs needed (as is always done), he had replaced a tub surround (not the tub) and needed the drywall around it replaced and finished... he did however have a wainscot that he removed on the lower 30" or so. I saw that the drywall had been damaged upon homeowners removal of the wainscot in that area and I asked if that needed to be repaired as well, the homeowner said no, I will be replacing the wainscot. That was fine with me as it was a cosmetic issue and would as he stated be covered upon install of new wainscot. When my employee arrived the homeowner instructed him to make these repairs after having told me they were not needed his estimate did not include them. I was then notified by the employee of the added repairs and reached out to the customer immediately by phone and text WITH NO RESPONSE, I instructed my employee to have the homeowner call me... HE DID NOT. The employee was instructed to complete all and I would just bill the balance of added repair a minor charge of $30 mind you. Once the job was complete and my employee had left the home the homeowner who previously couldn't answer a phone or text or call me while my man was on site suddenly/CONVENIENTLY became avail for reply and refused the added charge. This homeowner took advantage of my company, there was NO MISUNDERSTANDING, I knew the scope of the job and I assure you so did the homeowner, he like so many wanted something for nothing. My issue with the homeowner was not in the $$ for the repair, it was in the underhanded way he conducted himself... and yes, because of it I do question his integrity. There were no threats cast I simply informed the homeowner while he has the right to post any review he chooses if he mis characterizes the events and falsely disparages a 4.9* rated company (with hundreds of reviews online) I will sue him... In America we still have the right to defend that which we have worked so hard for !! I did encourage this homeowner to get himself something nice for Christmas... ON ME."
