"(consumer name withheld per their request.) , I promise this has not been a bad experience for only you. We haven't lied about anything! The only time a call was not returned was when you didn't give us a chance to call you back before you called again. You are not our only customer and we cannot simply drop everything when you call. We did show up and no one has walked out in the middle of the job, the job is ready for a rough-in inspection and we CAN NOT do anything else until you do the proper paperwork with metro for them to release the permits and the inspection. The holes that were cut into the drywall (which are all less than 1 square foot each except for at the panels) were necessary to rewire the upstairs due to limited access, and you were informed that there would be drywall damage and we would do our best to keep it minimal which we did. You were also informed as well as the gentleman that was doing the remodel work for you that we would not be doing the drywall repair. The job is currently not finished because we are still waiting for you to do your paperwork with metro, which you have been told multiple times that YOU have to do, I cannot do it for you or I would. I have called you 5 times over the last two weeks and left voicemails and have not received a return call from you. On the 3 way call with you, myself, and customer service they even told you that you needed to do your part before I could move forward. I went to metro codes week before last for another job and had them look up your address and they said that nothing has been started with the zoning dept. and they gave me instructions for you which I still haven't been able to give you since you will not return my calls. To date the job is over 90% complete with less than one day of work remaining to put on outlets, switches, and make up the breakers (which can not be done until after the inspection that we can not get until the permits are released). And to date you have not paid a single cent for material or labor. Now I do respect your right as a consumer to involve your lawyer if you choose, however there are also laws that protect contractors from customers and though this is not our preferred method to resolve this if it is your choice we will respect it. Another option would be to do the paperwork with metro and return a phone call so that we can finish the electrical work. And a third option is that you could pay us for the completed portion of the work and hire another electric contractor to finish the trim-out, We would even be willing to get you in touch with other good electrical contractors in Metro if you cannot find one yourself."
"Tom, I am sorry that you were not pleased with your experience. As I told you when I called to let you know we were running behind, the service truck that was scheduled for your job was still working on another job that had taken longer than expected and I wasn't sure when they would finish so I was going to have to see who else we had available. The two techs that I sent were pulled right off a construction job and sent to you in an effort to minimize our tardiness, that is the reason for the "union" look. We do not have a quitting time when we are working on a customers home so there is no excuse for "fixing what they can" and leaving and absolutely no excuse for there being covers left off. As for the bid of the rewire I was under the impression from the Techs that you weren't looking to invest a lot of money into the house due to its age and thought that the rewire was off the table since rewiring an existing home generally cost double what wiring a new home costs. I don't want you to get the impression that we do not want your business, and more importantly I don't want you to be displeased with the service that you paid for. If you are still wanting a quote for a complete rewire I would be happy to meet you personally and go over it with you, if not I completely understand. Feel free to contact me and let me know what I can do to improve this experience for you. 615-326-8919 is our office number, there is someone there weekdays 7 to 5 and after hours it forwards to my cell. Again I apologize for your unsatisfactory experience."
"Thank you Andy, we really appreciate your business. Feel free to call us if you need anything else."
