"Ms Patti: We sincerely regret that our company did not meet your expectations. As we explained to you this afternoon, over the telephone, it's our intention to minimize your financial loss. You have refused to this, vehemently. When we first met, you were not enthusiastic to the price of your project on our first assessment; and were gracious enough to let us know. A few weeks later, you contacted us and resurrected the project. During the beginning of September, our area was hit with hurricane Irma and we encountered a few delays. Loss of power, telephone and internet service for almost a week. After that, we met again and you authorized (verbally) to hire an Architect to complete the designs that we have worked out, together. These plans were finalized prior of us leaving on vacation and you issued payment for those. Since the beginning of our conversation, you were aware that our company would be closed in October, a vacation that was planned months before we even met you. Upon our return, we had a setback of two weeks due to illness. When we finally met again, you were told of process and length of time for permitting plus material fabrication (i.e. trusses and windows). Which made you unhappy because that would take us to start your project after the Holidays, hypothetically speaking. We could not tie you to a contract or provide you with realistic costs since we never got you to sign final blueprints to give us the OK to proceed. At this point, our company is willing to return your money minus fees for Architect, Engineering plus 15% Overhead. Your plans have been re-printed without our copyright, as a courtesy to you, and have been ready in our office for the past two weeks. You have known of this but have not stop by to pick them up. Please advise us on how you want to proceed. Best wishes for your future endeavors. Sincerely,"
