We set an appointment to have my cleaning done on Memorial Day and the company completely ghosted me-- no call, no follow up, nothing. I understand if you don't want to do an install on a holiday, but I cleared my calendar to be available and then sat at home waiting for someone to show up. Insanely unprofessional.

My first time getting vents cleaned in a nearly 50-year-old house. Working with Irish Mist (love the name!) was easy, pleasant, affordable, and quick. Arrived on time, got to work, cleaned the ducts - which had more than just dust in them, as some things rattled through the hose on the way out. Very satisfied customer. One thing I forgot to ask is before & after photos... might have been good to get, I wish they had done that.

re the job: the tech was on time, courteous and efficient. However at checkout time I noticed a 6 percent add on to the negotiated price. I remarked that Michigan does not charge sales tax (6%) on labor. It should be the priced quoted.He said it was a gasoline surcharge. My argument was not with him so I aid it and contacted the office. They said it's been between 4-8% for years. I remarked about the lack of disclosure at the time of the quote or on Angi's list. He said he gets very few complaints. Offereed no resolution. Hence, this post.

**Edited after I spoke with a manager. I have never in my 40+ years been spoken to the way their "manager" spoke to me. He was rude, agressive, defensive and refused to rectify this situation. BEWARE! If you don't like the outcome- you are not allowed to have any negative feedback or he will threaten to sue you and call their lawyers. This man was hostile beyond belief and I would never ever ever call them again and warn anyone else who wants to use them to beware. The call escilated so quickly I can't believe he is their manager! **READ PAST REVIEWS ABOUT HOW THEY SPEAK TO PEOPLE! It's scary!

Irish Mist did a great job - very polite and professional - I will be using them annually for my duct cleaning.

All I would say carpet not clean, my carpet wasn't too dirty either but they didn't do a good job. I probably could of rent a machine and do a better job. Guy came in, spray something and clean all and everything in less than half an hour. they charged me for scotch guard but he said it was already in the spray, I can't believe that. No recommending to anyone who want to have the carpet cleaned. He said we'll send you receipt in email but never received it.

We had our ducts and furnace cleaned. They did great work and I felt like I could trust them. When they offered additional services, I asked what they thought we needed. They gave me an honest answer and did not try and upsell me on every service. We plan to call them again when needed.

The tech was nice and professional. But the price increase on the day wasnâ t a pleasant surprise. I was told a price over the phone, which is why I decided to hire. I wonâ t be blindsided in the future.

I had my air ducts thoroughly cleaned. It was a Very clean job; no mess left. I would recommend them again.

He cleaned well especially the dryer vent because we know that it's working really well. One thing I could have done before is to cover or move the printer and other stuff out of the vents.

Stay away from this company, I can not believe I have to take time out of my day to write the first negative review in my entire lifetime. 1. Showed up 2 hours late, we had to reach out to them, did not apologize at all zero communication by them as well. 2. Their confirmation email states that they will move small furniture. They chose to vacuum around some end tables that weigh less than 10lbs, some empty dressers that we put moving sliders underneath that can be moved with one hand, vacuumed around coffee table, put sliders underneath that to make their life easier, same story. 3. After complaining to the company the employee who performed the work proceeded to call my wife multiple times and leave messages, because women around the world surely love talking to someone who they just complained about. I already just had to argue with the person at the office and now this guy is calling my wife. Even if he just wants to know what he could have done better, that is not how this works. The customer is not happy and does not wish to speak with you. 4. I ask for a refund, and the main phone person, possibly the manager or owner, basically the guy who answers the phone when you call tells me no and that I have to allow them to fix their mistakes. I agree but under the terms that a different employee is sent to my location to do a better job. They agree to my request/terms. 5. They show up late again for the 2nd appointment and look who it is, the same employee who called my wife twice at my door. I reject the service and ask him to leave doing my best to avoid a bad confrontation, he continues to ask questions while halfway standing at my door I ask him 4 times to leave. Finally leaves but informs me if I do not let him in then the service ends there. 6. I say okay to him, and call the main office to fill them in, still wont give a refund. I have not disputed this charge with American Express and this mike character claims he will end up charging me triple because of this choice when he could probably just click a button and give me a refund. Stay away from this company at all costs, do not let the reviews fool you. If you search this place up outside of HOME ADVISOR you will find many stories similar to mine today. The place is an absolute fraud and should be ashamed of themselves. Every single complaint I had was met with this Mike character being in denial about any mistake he or his company had made. Bought a new washer and dryer recently. The sensor in my new dryer told me that the vents needed cleaned. Hired Irish Mist to come do the job. They came out and told me that they were unable to get in the roof but would get the vent clean from inside. They â didâ the job. The dryer still gave me the same error code. I then called Irish Mist again for them to come back to finish the job. They scheduled a follow up appointment and never showed up. Hired another company who scoped the vent and showed me a large clog at the exhaust exit. They then got in the roof and ensured all aspects of the job were completed. They get 3 stars on their work because they cleaned most of the vent. The technician was respectful. Customer service was fair, except for the not showing up again part (which I took work off for). Unfortunate.
