We recently employed Iron Rock Concrete to widen our existing driveway and to pour a concrete walkway from the front of our home to one of our side gates. From first point of contact to job completion, Iron Rock was amazing! Staff stayed in communication with us throughout the process, let us know what to expect and when to expect it, helped secure HOA approval, etc. They are amazing to work with simply because they do what they say! In today's world, customer service has fallen by the wayside for many. Iron Rock provided us with great service and a great finished product. THANK YOU!

Contracted with Cody specifics for widening a portion of existing driveway. Emphasized how large rocks were to be moved and placed. Also, had string outline and stakes for expansion and two off-ramps to be poured. Both ramps to be 6â wide. They made one only 5â wide and large rocks left at the end of the ramp which I had to move. Front end loader bucket had most of leading edge missing and holes in bucket bottom. Sloppy leveling job. Base mix scant in areas. Rocks not moved where specified and some stacked. Rebar installed and secured to existing driveway and elevated for strength Used vacumetric âmix on the spotâ cement truck for a âwet pour.â Four-man crew showed about 10 a.m. and truck arrived at 3 p.m. Had to leave once for another load to complete pour. Crew finished at 6:45 p.m, had turned dark, and finishing touches done by truck headlights. Cement truck parked on top of rebar and flattened. As viewed on security camera, wasnât re-elevated for strength contrary to what Cody had told me. Weather turned bad. Winds gusting to 40+ mph and was high 30âs during the night. Third day, Friday, crew showed to remove forms and only 12 hours set time. Told Cody wanted forms left on an extra day. He did oblige, however wasnât happy that I was disrupting his â3-dayâ schedule. I did give him ¾ amount due and paid the balance upon completion. Crew returned following Tuesday. Removed forms and power-washed driveway. Discussed situation about the large rocks not being placed where I specified. Cody did offer to return with the same loader with the defective bucket to move rocks. He said he didnât budget for thatâafter I twice specified before the contract was let. I declined as I didnât want âsomething for nothingâ and his machinery wasnât in good condition and I already experienced a sloppy job overall; e.g., uneven finish, critter tracks in concrete, leaves stuck in concrete, etc. When forms removed, exposed large areas where base mix was coming out under the concrete. I, alone, spent 14 man-hours repositioning rocks with use of rope and a come-along. I didnât expect a âlandscapeâ job as I completed; however, positioning the very large rocks where I twice specified was a let down. Not a very professional company. More interested in their âtime frame,â get the money, than a quality job. A definite let-down after reading "5-star" reviews.

This was the first time that they poured a porous driveway. The crew was unfamiliar with this material and it showed in the final project. I reviewed hours of YouTube videos and my final project does not looked like those videos. Even the overseer from another company was not happy with their handling of the product. He told me that I should had hired a company from Austin. Their crews know the material. They were not prepared to cover the porous concrete with heavy duty plastic. They covered it too soon and didn't smooth the concrete before covering. The next day I had high winds which allowed the plastic to blow off the concrete. I had to put boards and bricks on the plastic. They didn't properly secure the plastic which allowed the porous concrete to not properly dry. Now I have many dips in the concrete. Their customer service is almost nonexistent. If you don't reach the owner then no one else is available to handle issues. He did have someone to come and filled in most of the holes but once again he tried to tell me inaccurate information about the product. I do not recommend this company for this project.

Cody and his team were very professional and kept us updated with timely communications. We had an extra driveway - parking pad poured. The team showed up on time, kept the worksite clean and actually finished the job quicker than expected. I would recommend Iron Rock& Cody and would use them again if we need any future concrete work.

Cody and his employees Ryan, Jesse, Mark, and Rudy practically define professionalism. On time, skilled, courteous and responsive to the customers needs. Cody estimated the job would take three to four days. It took three and a half days. He was on site supervising more than 75 percent of the time. He kept me informed every step of the way. Both he and his workers made suggestions on how to maximize the appearance and longevity of the new driveway. I have owned nine homes over the span of four decades and Iron Rock is only the second contractor among the more than forty or so I've hired to earn an A+.
