Irrigation & Lighting Specialist

Do not hire this company. John, the owner, will promise a high end job, but they will deliver a sub-standard one. That is on top of charging you an exponential amount of money for a poor job. Also, they subcontract to other companies who do not give two shits about quality; they just care about completing the work so they can get paid. I hired them to install a sprinkler system and paid them to install RaindBird. John will charge you extra to install parts of the system e.g. to add the sprinkler heads pressure regulator that comes with the system already. Also, the heads they install will not be flushed with the ground as they should. I had to call them back multiple times to rebury a head because I almost ran over it by my lawn mower (example picture attached). Most importantly, they are required to bury the system pipes 8 to 12 inches deep; instead, they bury them 2 to 3 inches TOP. Some you could even kick the dirt from over them and see them (example pictures attached). The also installed some pipes very close to some of my trees and the roots could eventually crack the pipes. They are now refusing to come back and bury the pipes deeper into the ground. They can freeze during the winter or the aeration treatment on my yard can puncture/crack any of them because of how close to the surface it is.

FINALLY! It's taken me 3 years but I've finally found an irrigation company that's responsive, knowledgeable, and has fair pricing. Customer service was friendly, responsive, and kept me informed of what was happening and when. The techs were friendly and knowledgeable. A minor issue that I had was quickly resolved to my complete satisfaction. And best of all, the prices were fair and the fee structure was laid out up-front, so I knew what to expect. This will be my go-to irrigation company in the future and I don't think I would've been able to locate them without the help of HomeAdvisor.

Fantastic response time - I needed a leak repaired in my underground sprinkler system and Irrigation & Lighting Specialists came out the same day. They also made a recommendation to move a sprinkler head for better coverage. Very professional and courteous. I was so impressed, I m hiring them to install accent lighting for our home. I highly recommend them.

i called them to look at our irrigation system and some outdoor lights. the man was very knowledgeable, and really helped me understand our irrigation control panel. he programmed it for me to run correctly for this time of year and he fixed a small leak. he was able to change a few bad lights for me, but said he wasn't able to repair the other issues regarding the broken lights because he didn't have time and didn't have the materials on his truck. he said they would call me to schedule a time to do the lights but i have yet to hear from them. overall, i would recommend this company. they were professional and knowledgeable and reasonably priced.
