Ivy Renovators, LLC

Barry offers suggestions to things we wanted to try, but that do not work. Kept us from a few bad decisions. Walk in shower, heated floor, bathroom floor tile. Looks great. Thanks!

We are so happy with the work Barry did in our bathroom. The full renovation result is even better than we anticipated. He was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Ivy Renovation to anyone.

Barry is dependable, reliable and a pleasure to deal with and that is a combination that is hard to find.

Barry, the owner, designer and modeler at Ivy Renovaters is a class act through and through. His meticulous work produced two beautiful bathrooms (full and master) in our new home. His professionalism was on display from the moment we sat down to discuss the scope of the project and continued during construction and through project completion. Throughout the process Barry was transparent about timing and costs - there were no surprise delays or unplanned costs. The end product exceeded our family's expectations. I would definitely use Ivy Renovators for other jobs and would 100% recommend their services.

Barry was very professional, friendly, informative, and thoughtful in every aspect of our project. He was sure to help us understand any challenges that might arise from our project and at the same time offered great solutions. We hope to work with Barry many more times in the future. He was a great guy and did outstanding work for us.

My wife and I have used Barry Plaut, the owner of Ivy Renovators, twice in the past year to carry out improvements to our home in Poughquag, which we are in the process of selling, and to our new home in Millbrook. With the house in Poughquag, Barry repaired and refinished our deck, replaced stone facing ,and repaired a door to the garage. In Millbrook he has installed two doors, and some sheetrock and installed a handrail which was incorrectly installed by the previous owner. He matched the paintwork perfectly. We intend to install deck at the new house, and anticipate using Barry for this work. In addition, Barry keeps his schedule with regard to starting work and the duration of the work. He keeps the work area neat. In short, I can whole heartedly recommend Barry and his firm, Ivy Renovators. Paul Ashlin

Barry did a fantastic job we couldn't be happier with our deck replacement project! Highest recommendation A+. We did a complete resurface with entirely new railings and stairs - even added a much-needed second staircase down to our backyard. Along the way, Barry went above and beyond, for example by voluntarily improving some of the deck supports because it was the "right thing to do." Barry is creative, analytical, and meticulous, and just has a strong dedication to get things right. He is well-educated and well-spoken and was extremely professional and effective in dealing with our town government to get the appropriate permits and inspections done with zero hassle. And here's the clincher he's punctual and reliable and follows through on his commitments. We gave Barry a tough deadline - the job HAD to be done in time for a big family party we were planning to have at the house only a few weeks away. And though the weather and the Home Depot delivery people did their best to delay him, he got the job done right and on time!

Excellent experience from beginning to end. Assessed the work project, completed it on time and absolutely no cost overages. Pricing very reasonable. Quality of work seems great. Communication, and responsiveness was excellent and would use them again without reservation.

We hired Ivy Renovators to handle multiple projects both inside and outside our home. From master bath, to custom outdoor built in grill island, to intricate fencing around pool equipment, and much more, they were professional, cost-effective and determined to go the extra mile to satisfy us. Highly recommended!

Excellent attention to detail and design ideas. We now have a luxury hotel level bathroom we don't have to travel to on vacation. Its like living with a Four Season's Hotel luxury suite in our home.

Barry and his team were fantastically professional. Fast, clean, exacting. Gave us great advice and we had gorgeous results repairing, cleaning, staining and sealing our decks. We then used him to repair a brick wall and some brick facade damage, repair our greenhouse, tile a bath and re-frame a door. We will definitely use his services again.

We hired Ivy Renovators to remodel our 30 year old kitchen. We had previously used them to completely remodel 3 bathrooms (down to the studs). Since those projects came out great, we decided to use them again for the much larger kitchen project. They performed demolition down to the studs and ceiling joists, did some new framing, all new sheetrock, taping and painting. Ivy Renovators also removed 2 existing windows and replaced them with a custom window in a different location. The design of the new kitchen layout was performed by the owner, Barry, in conjunction with the cabinet company design specialist. Ivy Reno installed all the cabinets and associated molding which was very difficult due to the fact that the floor was not level. They used lasers, levels and precise measurements to make sure all the cabinets came out perfect. Ivy Reno also installed brand new railings, posts and balusters on the stairs. They stained and polyurethaned them and buffed them to a very smooth finish. In addition to rough framing, Ivy Reno also did some fine detail carpentry work. All baseboard, window and door trim was replaced and painted. They also installed new insulation over the kitchen ceiling with a very high R value, much better than the 6 inches of crushed fiberglass we had previously. Ivy Reno cleaned up the work area at the end of each day and also used plastic sheeting to block off that area from the rest of the house. Another thing about Ivy Renovators is that the owner was always on-site for the duration of project. He did not sub-contract out the work, nor did he send "kids" or day laborers to do the work. The only parts that did need to be sub-contracted out was for electrical and plumbing work. I considered his prices to be fair and roughly in line with other contractors in the Westchester / Putnam area.

honest and hard working

Ivy renovators did our mater bathroom, they exceed all our expectations, it is now one of our favorite parts of house.
