Initially we really liked Joe and his crew. The project ran into multiple issues that required constant adjustment. I found myself doing additional work on weekends and evenings because it wasn't completed by the contractor. In our last meeting, I asked Joe to come over because our basement was still flooding with water and his response was for me to seal up the foundation and look for the source of the leaks. In addition, Joe's crew was not considerate about keeping our home space clean or undamaged. The main work for this project was in the basement which resulted in all of my tools, recreational equipment, etc. getting covered in dust and concrete. And the new fencing that we had installed prior to needing this work now has twisted posts and the door was not aligned correctly when it was re-placed after the drain work was completed. We tried to be understanding given that the work on our house was so complex and overwhelming at times. The breaking point for us was when we discovered that there were several items missing from our tools in the basement and 2 lights and 2 fans broken. Joe promised to reimburse us for the cost of the items, once we replaced them. I contacted him with the total and he promised to pay via check via snail mail. That was almost 3 weeks ago and we have not gotten responses to the 2 follow up emails re: reimbursement. When you pay over $19K to a contractor, you expect a little more than for your tools to be taken and your property damaged.

He didn't finish the job. Called him and he never returned my calls. Texted him 5 times and was ignored.

The painting was sloppy. The hot and cold water were put in backwards. My front lawn and garden and paving stones were damaged and not repaired. A toilet and sink were left in my back yard and not disposed of.

Explained in details what was to be done and how it would be accomplished. Through and professional and in the time he stated in would take. Also a through and complete cleanup including repainting the basement floor that was damaged.

I feel Joe and his crew went out of there way to do everything possible and made the new sets of stairs perfect. Joe came out the for the estimate exactly when planned. Joe did a great job in explaining what he was going to do and what was required. My project was for them to remove and rebuild two sets of stairs for my back deck, as well as replace the steps on my front deck. Joe and his crew showed up the very next day and had the project completed in a days time. Joe gave the best estimate price, and even came in under.
