Quick but over charges while not providing services agreed to for the fee. When I made service appointment with J&B to replace switch on my dryer he said cleaning the vent and hoses would be included in service call fee, but he did not do any of that while still charging $165 for spending 10 minutes replacing a switch (I had already diagnosed the mechanical problem so he had the part in hand). Day before a plumber spent 30 minutes on a worse issue and only charged $62.

I had a great experience w/ J&B appliance repair. John returned my message, and immediately began diagnosing my Kenmore dryer problem over the phone. He came by the next day, located the problem (blown thermostat), and ordered a new one. He returned two days later when part came in, and promptly replaced it. He did not charge for another service call, and charged his exact quote from the beginning. He went the extra mile, and searched for the "cause" of the blown thermostat, which was not the dryer. The dryer vent through the house was clogged, causing the dryer to over heat, and blow the thermostat. Service, and Prices are excellant!

J&B Appliance Repair's owner, John Shelton, aka "A Bargain Appliance Repair," replaced our oven broiler element by, literally, turning 5 screws, and then charged us $188.90! At our inconvenience, he had to come to our home twice due to his ordering the wrong broiler element. We were shocked by the fee charged. There was no forewarning of this excessive and simply outrageous fee. Now, that's not all. AFTER he handed me the bill and had observed the shock on my face, he, unbelievably, offered to clean out our dryer vent ductwork, by coming back on a later date. BUYER BEWARE!!! This service is NOT to be trusted & you may very well be gouged.

He was quick to evaluate the problem and got the parts ordered... repair was done on the same day that the part arrived

John was on time, professional, & completed the repair quickly. The price for the visit & repair were higher than I expected but the equipment is running good. I will keep J&B Appliance Repair in mind when needing repairs in the future.

They responded immediately to my call...They were friendly and arrived on time the day of the appointment ...(AND of course just my luck my dryer started working before they worked on it.).I would recommend them based on the service call but I don't really know about the actual work..I'm assuming it would have good andI if my dryer does stop working again I will call them.

John was great. I called several repair vendors and not only was he the first available but, also the most reasonable initial service visit. He diagnosed the problem and had the part I needed with him. I would recommend J&B Appliance Repair.

Hello: I was told I needed a new "control panel" for my Whirlpool dishwasher. I order the part for $150 including shipping, installed it and the same problem existed - flashing clean light. I have hired a repairman and he is waiting on a new thermostat. Being the holiday everything has slowed down. Thanks for the effort but I wouldn't use your services again. By the time I paid for your advise, the part and now the bill due for a new part and the repairman's service, this has been an expensive repair for me. Vonda F

Our refrigerator had a bad compressor and would cost more than it was worth to fix it, He recommended we buy a new one, which we did.

On time. Very honest. Gave me several options but insisted that my money would be better spent on a new refrigerator. Offered to replace parts to attempt to repair but again insisted that it was likely only going to be a short term, temporary fix and I should invest my money elsewhere. I am very appreciative of the honesty and would definitely call again if other assistance was needed.

our dryer was not working . power supply ended up being related to circuit breaker and not dryer but J & b recommended an electrian who promptly make repaaira and we were up and running. J & B did charge us a service charge but , we were told would be creditded it he had to return after breaker was replaced... It wasnt neccesary but he was very professional and honest

John Sexton was friendly, competent and fair.

J&B was great to work with. They showed up on time, found the problem quickly, and fixed the problem quickly. I even asked for an estimate over the phone and the serviceman was able to diagnose it and give me a quote that he stuck to when he arrived. There were no surprise charges. J&B was professional and seems to really care about their reputation.

Communication was very easy and straightforward, and for an emergenecy refrigerator repair, the price was reasonble and very fast. Everything was explained in detail and never once did I feel I was being deceived or taken advantage of, and I was comfortable with John and his assistant's presence in my home. I would not hesitate to use John again or to recommend him to others.

They're reliable, reasonably priced & I'd recommend them to anyone.
