I hired John to do asphalt work for me and they came out and talked me into something totally different, they did seal coat and was suppose to spray weed killer and did not, they also mis measured and I am short, what they did is falling apart and the stone is not sticking to the sprayed tar, I have called John numerous of times and they tell they will take care of it and they haven't, now when I call them I get no answer

Do not hire this company. I say again do not hire this company. It was how the job was to be installed. I was not at home when they installed the drive but after investigation, it was not installed correctly. The work has a 2 year warranty. The problem, no one can get in touch with them. They will not answer the phone nor return any calls. When I could not get them on the phone I decided to go to the address on the ticket. That address does not exist, it is a lawyers office. I went to Tyler Chamber of Commerce and was given two other locations. Neither of the addresses existed either. I went to their web site listed on the contract, it is also a bogus address. So, if you want an asphalt job done, find someone else, this company is a rip-off. By the way, they did not hesitate in cashing my check -- 30 minutes after they left the job site. We know this because the bank called my wife to verify that the check should be cashed. Again, do not hire this company. I'm still looking for them.

I hired John to chip and seal a driveway at 12' wide as per contract and only made it 9' wide and put a seal coat and grass is growing up through, we paid him in full and said that he would come back in 2 weeks to complete the work and did not, for about 6 weeks Jim keep telling me he will be there in 2 weeks and now I can not get ahold of him

I trusted that they in good faith would do a good job for the money I paid for. After they got paid they took off, I had issue later on they said they would come back and never did. Excuses after excuses. John and Bently Gorman, brothers left me with a bad asphalt project. Now they will not return calls or anything. I am a widow and retired and do not have money to throw away.

Asphalt job done in cold weather, some area no asphalt applied.Made several contacts to resolve the issue and no efforts made to fix the issue.

This was my first time using Home Advisor. I doubt I will use them ever again. I definitely DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this outfit to anyone. I believe this is a "Side job" scam. I was just checking out driveway contractors, I made no appointment or started any process. Next thing I knew John Gorman was at my front door. He made an offer of about twice as much as in was planning on spending. He convinced me it would last longer and be hard like our F.M. road. They came out a did the job, way too quickly I thought. It looked good on the surface but I thought it seemed soft. They convinced me it would pack over time. However, a couple of weeks and some rain later i saw puddles of mud forming where the old potholes were, ant hills coming through and about 1/2 inch of loose gravel and no black tar for it to adhere too. I called the number on the card he gave me and he said he would come out right away and inspect. He did. John Gorman said, "looks like the crew did a half-assed job" He promised with a handshake they would come back the next day and fix. They did not show. I got a phone call from Gorman later that evening saying they got held up on a job and would be out the following day. No show. None of the phone numbers are ever answered by a human. The voicemail boxes are either not working or are full. He has not received nor returned my calls, emails or texts. I feel taken advantage of.

It was a good experience no problems.

They was very professional, they did just what we ask. Would definitely recommend them. Done a great job.

John said he could do "chip seal"same day.I did not understand the difference between asphalt and chip seal what i got was glued down rock???When I wrote him the check for 2000.00 made out to JB Asphalt he would not take it,he ask me to make it out to J.Gohrman because that was the DBA they were useing???.They left a pile of unused chip in the street and a pile of loose gravel they scraped off my driveway in front of my neighbors gate to there property!So far the "chip seal" is holding up.When he said chip seal i thought it would be rock with a sealer over the loose rock.I should of ask for Pictures,live and learn.

They came out gave us a bid that was close to what others had bid but they seemed more "into" doing the job. They were professsional but pleasant to talk to and quite frankly I liked this guy better. They did a great job, did what they said, and left our driveway looking awesome! I will definitely hire them again if and when I need more of the same work done. We've gotten complements from all the neighbors about how good the driveway looks. It's almost 300 feet long so it was quite the job. Happy we went with JB Asphalt.

I was promptly contacted and work explained and received quote. Workers were all professional and courteous. Too soon to know if paving will hold up, but satisfied now.

I had a small problem with one spot. I called them and they came out the same day and fixed it. Very good response time.

John has no follow through. He makes promises and does not keep them. Grass has growing in driveway and lane in less than a week. It looks more like pebble driveway , then sealed one. Mud spots showing throw near garage. They have come to spray the 10inch sides of grass growing on lane. But he still has not come out to see project, because he is so busy. It has been since 7/24/2017. They were quick, but forgot to spray grass killer, and obviously did not spray enough tar for the pea gravel substrate to adhere ; it was rolled and sprayed; but its not flat and only adhered in 30 Percent of job. It looks good from far away, but inspect it and its like a toy made in China.

A representative was in my area and was here for an estimate within an hour. They were able to complete the work same day. John was professional and explained the process. His crew cleaned up perfectly after the job.

Had some misunderstandings in the beginning but the company reached out to me and all issues were corrected in a timely manner.

Great work Would recommend this company to anyone.

John Gorman and his crew, in 3 1/2 hours grated my driveway, rolled it, sprayed weed killer, sprayed tar, spread rock. My new chip and seal driveway looks great. He was very professional. I would recommend his company to anyone.
