Solid wood cabinets as our contract specified will last fifty years?the old cabinets we pulled out were sixty-five years old. We discovered our new kitchen is veneer, and thus cheaper construction. Our subcontractor Bani has had a few months to answer for himself what is inside the veneer but instead he is silent. He told our contractor that he gave us samples and said slab doors can?t be solid wood. It is true that we had dozens of samples while selecting wood species and colors. However, Bani did not ever tell us he planned to build veneer cabinets. Beware of this business.
