JB Deck & Fence Renewal

Terrible! Contracted with the company last Summer. They came out to perform the work, and everything started out fine. However, that is when the good experienced stopped. The company was supposed to paint my deck, gazebo, front porch and trim around my house. I paid that 50% upfront for materials and work, and was to provide final payment at the completion of the job. However, they took so long to paint the deck and gazebo, that they never made it to the trim or the front porch. They also told me they would caulk all gaps prior to painting, and never did it. The project took them so long that the weather started to turn cold, and they were not able to complete the work, having only done a very light first coat on the deck and gazebo, which was done so poorly that it is all peeling up and looks terrible. They promised me in writing that they would come out and complete the job, but they changed the scope of work to only include the deck and gazebo, and were no longer going to paint the porch or the trim on the house. I requested my money back as they had not completed the work, but they refused to provide any type of refund and said that the money paid already would cover the deck and gazebo work, and that I would owe them nothing moving forward after they completed the job. Funny thing is though, they never came back to complete the job. I have reached out to them numerous times both last year and this year to schedule the completion of this work. This year, Josh and Samantha gave me the excuse that due to COVID-19, they are not able to complete the work until the Governor reduces restrictions. However, once the restrictions were lifted allowing outdoor work, this company still refused to do the work siting health concerns. I would have accepted that excuse under normal circumstances, except I see that this company has been completing jobs all summer, as you can see from the reviews on this website. So they are just lying to me to avoid completing this work or providing a refund. Do not use them, they will steal your money and not complete the work!!!!

These young people are great to work with. They did a good job on my front stairs and garden border. Cleaned everything up when done. Same with Larry who did the power washing before the staining. I would definitely hire them again.

Great job with a 2 year warranty! My HOA has very specific color requirements, Josh and team had no problem meeting those requirements and applying the right product. They worked around the weather to get this done as quickly as possible. I recommend there work.

JB was very professional, on time, showed up when they said they would. Even came to sand the deck after hours! And they were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them!

Excellent experience from the very beginning to the end. The communication was top notch which I can t say for many in the home maintenance and repairs industry. Everything that was promised was delivered on. I highly recommend them.

Sam is very professional and I would award him 10++ stars if it were possible. No issues whatsoever. Neighbors came over to admire my new deck and they have Sam on the books to do theirs. His work speaks for itself - absolutely beautiful. I had gotten several estimates and Sam was right in the middle, but I feel the quality and customer service I received, far out weigh the cost. The crew, also professional and respectful, showed up on time, when they said they would and they finished on schedule. Also they did a great clean up - my yard is cleaner now than before they started the work. Sam also followed up to ensure all my expectations were being met. I highly recommend.
