It’s been a few weeks since Mick and his team wrapped up our backyard project and we honestly could not be happier with the result! Mick and his team transformed our sloped backyard by building a beautiful retaining wall and creating a huge flat area for our kids to play. It completely changed our yard and how we use the space. Even after the project wrapped, Mick has continued to be incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. Hot Springs Pools hired GVL to build me a large retaining wall, with 4 stairs in the middle, that is absolutely beautiful! I meet Mick while they were building the wall and asked him if he could prep the soil and install the sod from the pool installation. GVL was easy to work with and did an outstanding job. We are very pleased with everything!

While many other companies never got back to me, Mick responded right away to my request for quote and information, and explained in detail his process to which I was appreciative. His crew (Rodrigo inparticular) did an exceptional job, could not be happier. We had grading for a shed on a sloped hill completed, as well as placing couple of trenches for power / water, also some initial work on an irrigation system. I would highly recommend GVL Landscaping; efficient, communicates before/during and after a project is completed. Final project was great.

I had a French Drain installed in the side yard that continued out to the street. Then had a Walkway with Pavers installed with river rock placed on each side of walkway. I definetly would recommend GVL Landscaping the owner Mick Pitts is great to work and his crew are so professional. Highly recommend going with mick .

We are new to the South Carolina area and relied on HomeAdvisor to supply a list of companies for a patio paving expert. We called several to get a quote and the decision to use GVL Landscaping was an easy choice. Mick, the owner, explained to us the entire process from the sloping of the patio, water drainage, and the types and depths of crushed stone used, along with a longer warranty than the other companies. Mick included the repair and addition of new sod around the patio which none of the other companies offered to do. Our patio is beautiful and we no longer have a water drainage issue. I had an area installed with river rock and grading to mitigate a drainage issue in my upper back yard. From start to finish the experience more than exceeded my expectations. Mick Pitts, the owner, is fabulous. The work was performed on time, exactly as described; the yard was cleaned up perfectly and the workers were polite and friendly. It is rare these days to experience superb customer service and quality workmanship but GVL Landscaping is a jewel and they deliver on both counts. I will definitely use them again

Their team did an excellent job communicating their solution to our drainage issues and spent the time answering all our questions thoroughly; and they had the scope of work clearly outlined so there were no gray areas / additional charges. They were punctual and professional, and the system worked great with a substantial rainfall we has a few days later. Appreciated the follow-up a few days later to be sure that we were satisfied.

These guys are great. The owners and their crew were very professional and super conscientious about doing the best job they could. All of them worked extremely hard, were easy to get along with. And maybe most important they had a â can do â attitude. No problem was too big or too small to overcome. They are defined someone I would use again. I wholeheartedly recommend these guys. It was a pleasure working with them. It was a great job and a great value.

I got quotes from numerous landscaping companies in the Greenville area. Mick was the only one that made recommendations for a drain system for the project. We had almost 600 square feet of patio pavers installed and a large area of the yard leveled out for sod. These guys definitely know what they are doing and the quality of work was outstanding. Mick and GVL Landscaping will be our go to for all future projects.

I had a patio installed just off my deck, Mick came by look over the area and we discussed what would look the best and with his expertise we decided the pavers would be the best. Awesome job!!!!!!

Highly recommend GVL Landscaping. They were great with helping me make decisions about my landscape design. My front yard space has been beautifully transformed. They used quality plants and shrubs. They also came out after the project was completed to answer questions and made sure I was completely happy with everything. Will definitely use them for future landscaping needs.

The owner was very pleasant and attentive, gave me a price that i thought was ok but. I know I have a small lawn and its probably almost not worth getting the mower off the truck or trailer in this case but if pay a good price I expect good work, it was not the owner that did the job so he does not get much blame but 5 minutes tops with a weed eater would have made me happy. But again the gentleman i spoke with was very nice and professional.

They did a great job installing river rock in the front and back yard. Tim communicated great, always on time and kept me up to date. His staff was very meticulous. I would not hesitate to hire them in the future.
