Jeff Bell seemed nice enough at the beginning. I had him caring for the lawn at my McDonough GA rental house. We are 25 miles away so I rarely went by to inspect the work. I paid to keep the lawn kept while I had renters. When I pay someone for a service, I expect them to uphold their end of the contact. The first problem I noticed - I was between renters, no one was at the house to verify the lawn was being maintained. I happened to go check the house and was extremely embarrassed that my home was in such horrible shape. I pay him extra to maintain the shrubs and the beds around the shrubs, It was packed full of leaves and this was late November. The driveway was more than ankle deep with leaves. I spend 6 1/2 hrs cleaning the yard, my husband was out of town, then fired him because he was rude when I emailed him pictures of my yard wanting an explanation. My husband spoke with him and asked me to give him another chance, so I gave him a second chance. The bushes have been chopped up. I asked him to round them out or box them off and that has never happened. They don't pick up the limbs that fall in the yard, they are pushed to the side. The grass is cut but the yard does not look kept. I decided to sell my house, so we were touching up the yard before the open houses and the showings. We had a closing date and asked Jeff if he could come the day before or the morning of the closing. His exact words were "Yeah I'll work it out one way or another, I'll let you know". The day of the closing my yard was a mess. I am not sure he had come at all this month. Yet again, we were extremely embarrassed. The people who purchased the home asked me if I would give them the number to my lawn man when they signed the contract in January, because they will not be moving to GA until after school ends in FL and needed someone to maintain the lawn. After they saw the lawn at the closing, they decided to go with someone else. I contacted Jeff via text and explained that I was very disappointed at the shape of my lawn. Yet again he was rude and said "How would you expect me to mow in a heavy downpour and drizzling rain I couldn't have done it then. My comment was I asked you if you could do it and you stated that you would work it out". I let him know the weather was beautiful Tuesday, I had kept an eye on the weather all week and could have told him it was going to rain Wednesday. I explained that as a business man, he should be a man of his word. If he had let me know that he was not going to make it, my husband could have cleaned the yard on Tuesday. Jeff never contact me, I had to contact him in regard to his failure to clean the yard the day of the closing. I also let him know that he lost the new owners as customers because the yard looked so bad the day of the closing. His comment to me was "Well I'm sorry didn't work but I gained 20 new ones over last week so I really haven't lost nothing have a nice day". I would not recommend Jeff Bell for any l
