His team actually came 15 minutes early, They were extremely professional, completed in less than 1.25 hrs. then cleaned up everything. Even though they were close to ornamental trees they were very careful not to damage them. We will always recommend them for any project.

Tree removal and pruning were okay. We disagree regarding the stump grinding work. I thought it inadequate and incomplete; while JBS Tree Experts thought it was a competent job. When they initially refused to come back and then subsequently said they would come back "at our convenience" I submitted a complaint to the NJ State Board of Tree Experts. Based on my experience I advise you to disregard any verbal statements regarding how deep they're going to grind your stump and only believe what they're willing to commit to in writing in their contract proposal document. It is not an outrageous request. When I got a proposal from another company for the same work they requested $200 dollars more plus the increased sales tax but the proposal included the specification stump will be ground between 6" and 8" below grade. The second point that I would make is that if you are the type of customer where it makes a difference to you if most of the stump face is 4" or more below the adjacent grade but there are some high spots (maybe 15 to 20%) of the stump face where the stump may only be between 2" to 2.5" below grade. I would advise you to come to an understanding with this contractor that you want a chance to visually inspect the stump with all grinding complete before any back filling take place versus the surrounding grade before any exchange of payment can take place; so that you know exactly what you received for the monies paid out.

I chose them for their knowledge in this area. I learned of the long term effects of topping off the trees & the importance of trimming correctly.

This company did an amazing job! Justin is very professional. A big crew showed up exactly as planned and on time. they took down three trees, removed 5 stumps and trimmed all 20+ trees on my property for an excellent deal. They cleaned up afterwards and everything went smooth. I would highly recommend them for any tree service in the future.

He came to my house to give estimate on tree trimming. He was very knowledgeable about trees. Explained that the tree had been topped in the past and that basically the tree was ruined as a result of the topping. He said eventually it would have to come down. He did not charge me.
