"Customer received requested calculations for ceiling joists and paid his bill of $300.00. Client came to our office the next day and brought a set of plans prepared by himself or others that he wanted stamped. He did not want to pay to have the plans reviewed and stamped. He stormed out shouting obscenities. The following day he phoned again and said he wanted to go ahead and get the plans reviewed. Then he was never heard from again. It was a strange experience."

Said I had a problem with my hillside property, but that it was fixable. Never sent us a report of findings or recommendations. Only walked around the house and property, collected a check for services, and we have not heard from him or his wife (who accompanied him)since.

"Brent visited the owner?s 1950s home which was showing signs of slippage on a steep hillside lot. The owner offered to locate and send a set of plans which would show that caissons had been provided. After finally receiving and reviewing the plans which were not complete Brent determined that the caissons which did exist were not adequate and advised that a new system of caissons with interconnecting grade beams would be necessary. The client did wait longer than usual to get his report but he did receive it after about a month."
