John Alvar was excellent to do business with. I hired him to repair a closet header and doors that were poorly installed by a previous contractor. Along with this, he repaired a large crack in a plaster ceiling. My home is over 100 years old and he was able to deal with all the little nuances he encountered. He was personable, thorough, and neat and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Mr. John Alvar is a very friendly and a professional handyman. He gave me an estimate after quickly diagnosing that the leak was coming from the drain hole in the bathtub and didnot want to break the walls unnecessarily. I considered his estimate of cost very reasonable except that a separate charge was made for painting the ceiling after the leak was fixed. I would recommend him to others and will consider utilizing his services again if necessary.
