JDA built our home 17â higher than the excavation plan. As a result, we had to do additional retaining walls, and had to modify the exterior stairway. They built the interior stair railings 4â above code. These had to be ripped out and redone, and the railing now wobbles. The sheetrock work was so shoddy that you could see the seams from 40 feet away â they werenâ t feathered properly. They made three attempts to fix this, but it still doesnâ t look right. We were billed for the additional work required to fix these mistakes â they later agreed to remove those excess charges. Communication was terrible throughout the process, and the list goes on and on. While the plumbers did a decent job, when we attempted to hire them to install a water softener after the home was completed , they wouldnâ t take the project as JDA had never paid them for the work on our house. I called and emailed Jason to ask about this; he wouldnâ t return my call.
