Bathroom - Remodel
Stay away from these guys. Down to the studs and almost all of the workmanship is shoddy. Ok for demo but that?s it. The tile and paint are so bad that they should be embarrassed and I?m embarrassed at what I spent for such an unprofessional job. Nothing about it looks good or was done right. I paid for professionals and received amateur work at best.

"We are responding publicly because this review does not reflect the actual work we performed or the customer?s own words and actions at the time. We were subcontracted for the down-to-studs bathroom remodel on this project. We completed high-quality tile installation, precise painting, and all finishing details to professional standards. We conducted thorough walkthroughs with the homeowner, addressing every concern until she confirmed she was fully satisfied. On our final day onsite, as we were packing up to leave, she literally ran out after us to personally thank us and tell us how wonderful the work looked and how pleased she was with the results. The claims of ?shoddy? workmanship, embarrassment over the quality, or amateur-level execution do not match what happened on site, what she expressed directly to us, or the visible improvement to the space (which significantly increased its value and appeal). Frankly, the home still appears stuck in the 1980s, and our remodel brought it into the 1990s with modern finishes and details that significantly improved both function and appearance. Any dissatisfaction appears tied to her separate issues with the general/project contractor she hired?not our craftsmanship. We take pride in our work and stand behind every job with photos, notes from those final approvals, and the direct positive feedback received in person. Bathroom - Remodel
David and Arthur and their team were nothing short of BRILLIANT. From start to finish, they were professional, communicative, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Their quotes are very fair and competitive - the least expensive out of a selection of five other professional construction groups we contacted - and their quality of work is phenomenal. They worked with our design and brought it to life perfectly. Even with a few additions to the scope of work, which was to be expected with a back-to-the-studs complete reconfiguration, they kept us within 2% of our initial quote (except where we voluntarily decided to upgrade materials throughout the process!). Their suggested revisions to our initial plan were on point and immediately accepted. They kept our house as clean as possible during the three-week renovation process and worked as applicable from 8-5 every weekday until the project was complete. They worked with their suppliers directly to make sure that we received what we'd selected at the quoted price despite some developments outside of their control, and they and their suppliers were willing to make complimentary return trip(s) within reason to ensure that even minor details of installation/etc were to our satisfaction. We will absolutely be hiring them for many future renovations, both minor and major, with absolute confidence! Our friends and family are in awe at our splendid new master bathroom - as are we. Poor job, damaged my hardwood would not take responsibility.

"Customer provided the flooring material that was in awful shape. He stood right the throughout the whole installation process, watching us pick the bad pieces and put them aside. This was our favor to him done at no additional cost, which also extended the installation time by at least 50%. He handed us a check at the end of the project, praising how great of a job we'd done. Later he starts sending us pictures of three small areas of flooring, that are manufacture defects, which again was material provided by customer. We tried to call and explain how he can easily get a touch up kit to fix it, however he'd hang up the phone on us screaming."

Hands down THE ABSOLUTE BEST contractor we have ever worked with! David and the entire team are wonderful to work with, very professional and exceeded our expectations. This was our third home purchase and home renovation in the past nine years, so we have a lot of experience in working with and dealing with contractors and subcontractors. JD Contracting sets the standard all others strive to meet but rarely do.

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
I hired JD Contracting to setup a new laundry room in basement after the flood from washer in previous laundry room on 1st floor. It was an excellent experience with JD Contracting. I was really impressed by their skills in electrical and plumbing areas. The guys from JD pay lots of attention to details, and they take pride for their high quality work. JD definitely will be on my list for future in-house projects.

Drywall - Install
David was extremely easy to work with and his prices were very reasonable. Although the overall project was fairly small and had a very quick turnaround, we would consider hiring JD Contracting again in the future for other projects. We would definitely recommend David and JD Contracting to others.

The guys from JD were very professional and attentive to detail. They were honest and transparent provided great value for the money for the services provided. The original project we not large in scale but due to the professionalism and quality work I ended up giving them the rest of the project.
