J.D Custom Builds

I am out of the $1500 that J D Builds, Jeremy Smith, required that I put down before he started work on my project. I was promised work would begin six days after I signed the contract on October 2. He never showed up and always had an excuse why he would not be available to start the job. However, he was always difficult to contact, and when he did answer the phone he provided me a new start date and as usual, did not show up. I notice he cashed my check the very next day, October 3. I was scammed, so please be warned if you choose to do business with J D Custom Builds. Be prepared to be disappointed. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Missouri State Attorney General Office. If someone takes your money with a promise to do something for you and does not follow through that constitutes fraud.

Jeremy took my money and did not do the work. Jeremy did not give my money back when I requested it.

they came out quick with estimate and sounded like they knew what they were diing and were quick to get deposit. then excuses and no communication. things happen but communication is key. they are not professional. trued to help the little guy. probably wont do it again.

Hired them to repair my deck and install a new retaining wall. Gave them $1300 and now I can't seem to get a ahold of them. Home Advisors said they check on the credentials of the companies they use - I guess they don't Home Advisors doesn't what they say either. Last time I heard from them was on 10/21/19 and Jeremy said he had been in the hospital. It looks like a lot of other people are getting taken by the reviews I am seeing since October too.

I hired him to build 3 brink planters and some stone foundation work on planters near driveway, I have paid the total price of job up front and now he is not returning my calls. His phone is always busy. Not returning text either.

I hired them to replace and install a new deck. Start date was supposed to be Sept 23rd, paid 75 percent down for materials and half labor. I have not ever seen him seen contract was signed, excuses after excuses via texting and project still not started, Ghosted me 12 days ago have not heard from him.

I had the worst experience hiring these guys, they refused to finish my fence, and refused to give me my money back. I will not believe on web recommendations anymore!

I hired them to install fence posts, Paid a 500 down payment, and they have not showed up since. They told me to they were going to send my check back but I have not received it. I have given them several chances to come and do the job. They said they were coming yesterday and no show no call.

Completed work in 3 days like estimated. Very pleased with end results.

They did a good job.
